NJ's Nugrle revolution.

Hi, I haven’t been writing down what I’ve been doing much recently so wanted to start this about my new 40k/fantasy cross purpose daemon army.

I have played painted and modelled nothing but Khorne since I got back into Warhammer 10+ years ago but the new Nurgle daemon models have just called to me!

I haven’t much experience painting much other than RED so any help is welcome and appreciated.

Nurgle is surprisingly easy to paint, and I find them the quickest to get a good finish on of all four Chaos Gods.

OK, I went and started some models, 1st a unit of plaguebearers, note the guy at the front, I am trialing a brown undercoat.
and my current pride and joy, the easiest conversion I have ever done but I really like it.
Not changed much, just the hands and head and nurgling and deaths head.

Here is a daemon prince that I was going to paint up as  slannesh but he got changed.
and these are my "rot hounds" I do have some flesh hound models but I bought these an age ago before the plastic warhounds came out and they have actually just been thrown in my bitz box the last couple of years so seen as they fit the nurgle theme and have been rescued. they will get re-painted fully.

You're conversion work is pretty spectacular.  The nurgle chaos hero works out great for so many conversions.  I think he might be the most modified figure in the entire GW range.  Anyhoo, I can't wait to see the entire army when it is completed.  I'm sure it will be amazing!!!

Well work was a little slow today so I was doodleing, and I thought i would share as it kinda a plan for my daemon prince.

This pic shows the transition from idle work doodle yesterday to last nights parts mash in time for gaming night tonight. it is aiming to be a bas-ass deamonic Quad Gun for my defence line. it still need a LOT of work.
I have done some painting as well and am pretty happy with the results, I'm gonna try get some decent pictures over the weekend. (still trying to get to grips with the camera on my new lumia 920.)

This blog is great so far. As mentioned your conversion work is fantastic and I look forward to seeing more of it. The only thing I'm not sure about is the base of the daemon prince (snail style) but I think it's because you mentioned slaanesh, when it's painted I won't even know!

JJ's speed painting if plaguebearers is reaching legendary status so do ask him for tips if you're needing burgle painting help. My tuppence would be washes...and lots of 'em!
