1500 vs WOC G2

original thread ↗

I was keen to lock horns with my brothers Skullcrusher list straight after our first game for the day and he was keen.

SM – Fencer’s Blades, Armour of Fortune,
BSB
9 IG – FC +1 LD
Sabretusk
Ironblaster
2 x 2 MFC – Musician +1 Std

Khorne Lord on Jugger – Hellfiresword
BSB on Jugger
19 Warriors of Khorne – XHW
Warshrine
4 Skullcrushers – FC, EW

Deployment:

Sabretusk, MFC, MFC, Ironguts, Ironblaster

Warriors, Skullcrushers, Warshrine

SM – Trollguts, Toothcracker, Bonecrusher, Spinemarrow

OK Turn 1

I redeploy, swift reform the MFC and pull them East, move the Ironblaster for a flank shot. Bit of moving, Toothcracker onto MFC, Bonecrusher dispelled onto Skullcrushers.

Ironblaster drops 3 Skullcrushers.

WOC Turn 1

Warshrine dispelled.

OK Turn 2

Bonecrusher onto Skullcrushers gets 3 wounds through putting 1 on the BSB, Chaos Lord saves his and the champion takes a single wound.  IB misfires and can’t fire the remaining of the battle.

WOC Turn 2

Skullcrushers charge sabretusk.  Flees and cuts down and reforms.  Warshrine dispelled.

OK Turn 3

IG + IB charge the Skullcrushers.  Toothcracker onto IG goes off, I roll 3 x 1’s for Trollguts.  Yay.

Skullcrusher champion takes a wound from impact hits, Chaos Lord challenges SM.  SM takes two wounds.  IG take 7 wounds, I kill the champion and BSB leaving only the Chaos Lord remaining.  I hold on stubborn.

WOC Turn 3

Warshrine charges into Ironguts.  Warriors fail restrain against MFC and move 6” ahead.  Warshrine is dispelled.

Chaos Lord does no damage to SM, same in return.  Warshrine does a single wound, I win by one, Chaos Lord breaks and runs 7”, Warshrine holds.

OK Turn 4

MFC charge warriors, IB into warriors.  Toothcracker onto IG, Trollguts dispelled.

Warshrine is broken and it escapes and I shuffle 3” forward.  Khorne warriors dish out 4 wounds onto front MFC, 1 onto flank, 1 onto IB.  In return  I leave 7 warriors remaining who hold on snake eyes.

WOC Turn 4

Warshrine fails to rally and moves 3” forward.    Warriors kill last remaining MFC however they’re beaten on combat res and break.  Ogre troops chase down and run into Warshrine which flees off the board.  Op concedes.

Result – OK victory.

Conclusion:  Yes even though I took a completely different army, revenge is still a sweet dish.  I’m still being an idiot and considering Tomb Kings for the tournament next month, I just hope to hell I don’t come up against my brother otherwise I’m toast and I’ll certainly be playing for a draw, with what list however remains to be seen.

Thanks for reading.
