I fought Lizardmen today.  It was a 2000 pt game.
My list

SM, fencer's, greedy fist, scroll.  385
Hunter, ehw  134  (cuz why not)

8 Ironguts, command, standard of discipline.  389
8 Ironguts, command.  374

Sabre.  21
Sabre.  21
Sabre.  21
6 Leadbelchers, bellower.  268
4 Maneaters, ehw.  216  Swiftstride, scout

Ironblaster.  170

1999 pts.

His list.

20 saurus, command
12 skinks
20 temple guard, command
2 salamanders
Stegadon w/ skink priest
Old blood on Carnosaur
3 kroxigors

Turn 1
Him
Everything moves up.  His salamanders run up and spray my scouting maneaters, causing 2 wounds.  His skinks do 2 wounds to my hunter and 1 to his accompanying saber tusk.  His magic doesn't go off, but i did have to use a scroll to stop chain lightning.

Me
I charged his kroxigors with my scouting maneaters.  I charged his skinks with my hunter and sabertusk. I got the strength buff off on the maneaters, but nothing else.  My leadbelchers shot and killed 6 saurus.  My iron blaster misfired and rolled a 2...  The skinks killed my kitty but died miserably and ran away.  I came 1 inch short of an overrun into his stegadon.  My maneaters killed his kroxigors before they got to strike.  They overran and came 1 inch short of his carnosaur.

Turn 2
Him
He charged my hunter, i fled and he overran setting up a perfect charge from iron guts.  He charged my maneaters with his hero.  He got a REALLY long and lucky charge to get his saurus into combat with my general and other ironguts.  His magic had no real effect.  He shot his salamanders at a kitty(he deployed them on the far end of the battlefield, so the whole game he never really got a good target, just his turn 1) and didn't wound the kitty.  His hero killed a maneater, but they killed the carnosaur before it got to attack.  I won combat and he stayed.  His saurus got pasted by my iron guts, royally pasted.  They fled with 4 remaining.

Me
I charged his stegadon, moved my leadbelchers into a building, and positioned my general's unit to charge the temple guard.  My magic buffed my man-eaters, regen, +Str.  I shot his temple gaurd and killed 7 with my leadbelchers.  I killed his stegadon and skink priest and reformed my ironguts.  My maneaters lost, fled and were overrun.

Turn 3
Him
He got another REALLY long charge off and sent his temple guard into my general's unit.  His Old-blood flanked my general's unit.  He had no more magic left.  He shot at my kitty some more with his salamanders and did no damage.  Combat.  I challanged with my SM and he accepted with his Old blood.  He beat me 2-0, but i still had 2 wounds left.  Hit temple gaurd did 6 wounds.  I did 10 wounds to his temple guard and won combat by 1.  He stayed.

Me
I charged my Ironblaster into his temple guard.  My SM healed 2 wounds from the LotGM.  No shooting.  I got a 5 for the impact hits and killed the remaining temple guard.  He did 1 wound in the challenge and he lost combat.  He fled and I overran.

At this point I had killed everything but 2 salamanders.  He had only killed, 2 sabers, Hunter, 4 man-eaters, and 2 iron guts.  We called it.  Huge win for the ogres.

Thoughts.  I love leadbelchers.  They hurt his saurus and temple guard enough for them to not have steadfast and not be able to fight a second round.  Second thumbs up to the maneaters for killing 3 kroxigors unscathed and dropping a carnosaur in combat before it could attack.  Third thumbs up to my ironblaster for misfiring and rolling a 2 on the first turn 4 games in a row...  I'm not kidding... 4 in a row, misfire then a 2... on the first turn...   :|  I still love it though.
The enemy of my enemy is my double enemy.

Nice match! An unusual Lizard army; If I say so myself: Kroxigors vs. Ogres? DAMN CRAZY FOO!
Hate to burst your buble, but a Lizardman army without a Slann is no real Lizardman army. When you can take it. Simple as that. Also if tooled up dominates that magic phase so baad that only special characters can put up with them.
The Carnosaur, Kroxigor and the temple guards are generaly bad. Instead of temple guard get more ordinary saurus. Swap Carnosaur for Slann, and Kroxigors for some salamanders or more skinks. Also Hunter is really bad so I recommend you to get something else instead of him. (More Guts if possible). Also just to give you a note if you compare the Guts vs. Ogres (Bulls for just to make it easier to sperate as techincally all of them are ogres) the Bulls are sooooooooooo much better. Give the Bulls Ironfist they have a parry save in addition to same armor save. (And they strike before the Guts. So techincally you give your ogres Great weapon for 11 points. (also the banner can be good, but you are not even using the opprotunity in your list here. )

Also for him to not even take a skink priest... Just really?
You take level four and get instant magic dominance. Good game right there when lists are made.

Conclusion: Nicely written report, good structure sums up the most important events. Keeping it easy is ofthen better for the reader which I think you did very well :), Im expecting not a really tryhard game, because the lists were really fluff
I don't know about that.  The top Lizardmen in the country runs a carnasaur.  Looks like both armies were fairly vanila and tame too, so good parity between them.  No need to bash him on the content of the armies.
668 The Neighbor of the Beast
I've played against lizards before with quite a few armies and I've always been more scared of the carnesaur than the slann. Magic in this edition can be very fickle but combat is pretty absolute. Granted it all comes down to dice but I'm still more scared of combat monsters.

Congrats on the win!
