I faced a HKB bretonnian lord. It was ugly.

Sm, 4+ ward

BSB w/ 50 points of gear. I like sword of striking, HA, IF, dragon helm, dawnstone.
Bruiser,  HA, IF, Giantbreaker
Bruiser, HA, IF, Sword of Might

6 Ogres, FC, XHW

2x 40 Gnobs, FC, trappers
20 gnobs, mus, trappers

2x 6 leadies, mus

4 mournfang, HA, IF, mus, std, gleaming pennant
3 maneaters, scout, ItP, xhw
sabretusk

SM and BSB each go in leadie units, the bruisers go 4 wide with the bulls. Gives you two hammers and two tarpits, 12 d6 shots, with a scouting unit and the sabretusk for warmachines/annoyance. Could also trade the ME for a giant pretty easily.

Roc, your math is correct, but bereft of tactical considerations

yep that sums how i play =)
Our number six spell scares me so much I never use it...

As far as getting rid of the hkb lord tie him up with gnoblars and get a level 4 with death most spells will make mince meat out of him...

I was on that track aswell:

Slaughtermaster, General, GW, lvl4, Ironcurse Icon, Charmed Shield, Power Stone, Lore of Heaven - 325 Pts.

Bruiser, HA, Sword of Striking, Talisman of Endurance, Enchanted Shield, BSB - 184 Pts.
Butcher, GW, Scroll, Lore of The Great Maw - 134 Pts.
Firebelly, GW, Sceptre of Stability, Lore of Fire - 144 Pts.

4 Ironguts, M, S, Lookout Gnoblar, Standard of Discipline - 212 Pts.
40 Gnoblars, M, S, C, Gnoblar Trappers - 150 Pts.
40 Gnoblars, M, S, C, Gnoblar Trappers - 150 Pts.
40 Gnoblars, M, S, C, Gnoblar Trappers - 150 Pts.

6 Leadbelchers, M - 268 Pts.
6 Leadbelchers, M - 268 Pts.
1 Sabretusks - 21 Pts.
1 Sabretusks - 21 Pts.

Ironblaster - 170 Pts.
Giant - 200 Pts.

Total: 2397

Basically the SM hanging out with the ironguts behind the gnoblars giving them all steadfast 9. Then all the hero level characters join with the leadbelchers to make them more fighty.

Still, I kinda think that the double character train is a better way to run with this comp.

Gnoblars still have their thrown weapons right?
Doesn't this mean that they count for the shooting models thing?
This would make it almost impossible to use gnoblars.

Would go for bruiserstar...
