Skrag the Slaughterer

Hey guys

For christmas I was given a GW voucher which I had planned on spneding on my beloved ogres. I was thinking of getting Skrag, since it was a very good friend who gave me the voucher and so I wanted what I bought to stand out if you know what I mean..

Anyway is he any good anymore? I'm not to botherd as such about his point cost, bear in mine sometimes we play 5000 - 7000 k matches, so hes easily enough fitted in.

Question is though, is he worth it? I know Greasus Goldtooth is pretty pants nowadays, and well Im never going to use Gorgers so thats one of Skrag's benefits out the window..

I've proxied him several times, he is worthwhile only if you are playing a larger point game (3,000+) and if you get him in CC. Gorgers aren't necessary. Either way it is an awesome model.

He's pretty good on the face of it, a slaughtermaster with all the advantages of a tyrant, not shabby even at his cost. The odd base size is a pain but its workable and special rules for gorgers are a bonus. The major issue for me is frenzy. Given that he's going to inevitably be in your best unit it is a pain - frenzied units can be lead around the board especially with forced overruns.

Awesome model, unique rules, our best character. What's not to love? Do it.
