I feel they won't include a lot of armies. They'l probably include these armies first:
Empire
High Elves
Dark Elves
Warriors Of Chaos
Daemons Of Chaos
Dwarves
Not really sure about the rest because GW have their "favourites" and these are the most evident. I say Skaven and Orcs are tied. Poor ol' woodies and tombers might not be there, but would be cool as they would have a desert look. Dunno about ogres. Anyone's guess now.

Orcs would have to be in there, they are a GW signature race and natural enemies of Umies!!!

Have to agree that Orcs and Goblins would be in, because they're the default Bad Guy race in every mythos.
I'd like to see all the armies in, but I also think that GW would have a motive behind putting Skaven in there too (to sell more starter box sets to new players)
edit: Also stupidly keen for this game.

I think this will work very well indeed.
Considering all the factors that have been in various Total War games I think if they pick the correct mechanisims this game would work really nicely.
Some predictions/wishes I have.
1) Varied resource system. Some factions will have different ways of gathering resources(IE: money)
Empire, HEs, DEs, Beastmen, Warriors of Chaos, Lizardmen, Dwarves, Chaos Dwarves, Wood Elves, Brettonians, and, to an extent, Skaven would all have a conventional Total War gathering system.
Vampire Counts would have to have something based on killing the living population. Plus they would have mines and other non-food things.
Tomb Kings would be a normal resource system sans food production.
Ogres would be heavily focused on food gathering. So maybe they would gain food based on the population of the area they control. Getting food from villages for "protection", or they could just eat the entire provence for a massive one time resource income.
2) Varied population system. Not only will you have a population number for a provence, you will have varied populations of each race. This may replace Religion as one of the secondary factors, or go along with it.
So if you are Empire and one provence has a population of Ogres you could recruit Ogre units at that location. The same could be said for Elves, Dwarves, etc...
Obviously some races wouldn't be compatable with others. Skaven and Beastmen population would cause Unrest in any races provence except their own. Ogres, and halflings, would cause unrest during a food shortage.
So some races would have the option to conduct "genocide" to clear out the population of any one particular race.
It could get complicated but I think it would be managable.
Current win streak: 10
