Finally after a LONG LONG hiatus from Warhammer, I've begun to slowly recollect my Ogres. As such I'm creating this gnoblog to chronicle my progress of building the Angry Suns.
Now when I said slowly I meant it. So far the new Tribe consists of four kitbashed characters and possibly 6 Ironguts I might be able to salvage from the old group of Ogres. Right now I made the following from my first official box:
1 Firebelly with Great Weapon (KB'd from Irongut box and Greenstuff)
1 Bruiser Battle Standard Bearer (KB'd from Irongut box, Greenstuff, and the old bitz box)
1 Butcher/Slaughtermaster of Varying Lores (KB'd from Irongut box, Greenstuff, and the old bitz box)
1 Tyrant/Bruiser/Maneater with Heavy Armor, Ironfist, and Sword (KB'd from Irongut box)
The last one I didn't GS anything simply because I couldn't think of anything to make for him. Once I upload some pictures I will show you what I'm talking about. If I don't end up using him as a character, I'll probably use him as a champion or Maneater of some sort simply because he's pretty cool looking.
I also did my first foray into GS'ing stuff last night. The Firebelly received a blindfold around his eyes and a giant fur shoulder pad/guard/decoration simply because I thought he could use something "extra". The Bruiser got a fur cloak based on Corai's awesome tutorial but I don't think it came out as well as his.
If I ever do another like that I'll make sure to do the fur sculpting before applying to the ogre.
Lastly, the Butcher. He was the hardest to do. I had to sculpt a belly, wizard hat, and half-apron for him. By far the most difficult part was that damn apron of his!
