The Stoneclub tribe - A new Ogre army is slowly growing!

Hey guys, I've finally put my hands on a camera and decided to put up some very early WIP pictures of my new Ogre army. I will also update this gnoblog with my army lists and battle reports from time to time. Enjoy!

My unpainted army in all it's splendor!


My 1st Ogre Bull test model. It's a very early WIP, I'm working on the 1st skin highlight and the rest is just on base colors (except for the beard and the metal sole on the shoes which are still on primer).

1st finished model!!! I'm really happy about the model, but the picture isn't too good. I'll try to take better pictures during daylight hours. If that doesn't work, I might have to build a lightbox.



As I said, I'm happy and I'm already working on a second model. More to come soon!

It was only me 2nd attempt at painting eyes and it was quite the adventure, since I must have started over at least a dozen times until I was satisfied with the results.

As for the teeth, a simple white basecoat with Jack Bone (P3 color similar to Bleach Bone) thin layer, Devlan Mud wash then thin highlight of Jack Bone.

Nothing too fancy, but I'm really happy with the model .

Absolutely! Ogre eyes are interesting...sometimes they have little blemishes in the way etc.

I usually do a basecoat of Rotting flesh, but now bleach bone, some reikland flesh wash and devlan to top it off.

I've finally started updating this Gnoblog again. I've actually been busy designing some army list for 2000, 2400 and 2500 pts games. I've added the 2000 pts list and will be adding the other 2 lists in the near future.

Modellingwise, I've been building some new stuff I got. I've been converting a Bruiser BSB from bitz I ordered on EBay and some I already had. I also got 5 other bodies and been busy cleaning them. I have to make 2 more Ogre Bulls and 1 Irongut, so that leaves me with 2 extra bodies for now. I'm thinking of converting one into a butcher/slaugthermaster but I'm worried it's a bit over my modelling skills for now. I also bought a Firebully which is almost all assembled. I had to resculpt part of his arm holding up the flames because of air bubbles but I must say the details are impressive on the model.

I also bought an Ironblaster and another Mournfang Box. I hope to asseble the Mournfangs and Ironblasters shortly so I can use them in games. I don't think I'll be fully assembling the Iroblaster as it looks easier to paint in pieces.

I also built some more movement trays for my units, I'll flock and base them next as it looks good and it's not too long.

Expect some pictures of the BSB shortly with pictures of the movement trays to follow. I'm also working on another Ogre Bull and will hopefully have a full rank finished shortly.

Finally a concrete update!!! Here's the start of my Ogre Bruiser BSB. I still need to sculpt the belt over his totem pole and glue the ironfist and last bitz on him, you'll get the general idea though. I've also finished some bases and movement trays but the pictures I've taken are horrible so I'll take some more tomorrow.

I just added 2 lists I've been building in the last couple of days. The 2400 pts is 2400 pts on the dot while the 2500 list still needs 25 pts spent accross the army. I might just add a third unit of Gnoblar fighters to get more drops/chaff.

I've been paiting some and I'm hoping to update this gnoblog with a second completed Ogre Bull in the near future. I came up with some names for my units and have started to update it in the Gnoblog, but I don't have my notes with me at the moment so I had to write them from memory. Another update soon hopefully!

I'll be playing a game tomorrow against my brother's High Elves and I'm hoping to take some pictures for a battle report.

It will be my 1st game with the Ironblaster and I'm hoping to take care of his big Spearmen bunker that ususally holds by Ironguts for most of the game. I'm also hoping that the Firebelly will swing a crucial round of CC in my favor with the breath weapon. I'm planning to use my Ogre Bulls to hold the inevitable White Lion unit for as long as possible while I take care of the rest of the army.
