Look Out Gnoblars

original thread ↗

Are the Look Out Gnoblars necessary?  I only plan to have a banner with my Ironguts.  They are only 5 pts.  Is that 5 pts. better used somewhere else?

They are good, if you're going to face cannons, mortars, and catapults... otherwise it is better leaving them home, since there are no other units that can cause a "look out sir!".

cheers

Agreed, it very much depends on the army you're facing. Anything that uses a lot of templates - such as rock lobbers or trebuchets - or cannons that can single out and selectively target characters and standard bearers within a unit is worth taking. The unit only needs to be 3 Rank N Files large to allow the lookout to do his job, rather than 5 RnF without.

I once accidentally declared a 20" charge because I though it looked like 12
Looks like I'll have to take one.  There are a lot of Dwarf and Empire players that I play with.  Thanks for the advice.
