re] I had this idea where my friends and I start off as a basic core class then upgrade trough out the campaign b our book. Ie ogre->Irongut-> then you could branch off into ranged, leadbelcher, magic,Butcher, stealth, hunte and level up into greater stages eventually. The only problem that i have is would you level up intxo the new improve your old one. I still have to work the rest out, how does it sound so far?

We had a campaign a while back that was something in line with what you're looking for.
We all started with 1000 point armies. You were limited to a general and a low level caster (so 2 chars) and 1 unit of special no more than 250 points. The rest had to go into core.
With every round/few rounds we would get more points to put into our armies, but to unlock further char/special/rare slots we put special objectives in each battle and if you succeeded in that objectives you unlocked a char, special or rare slot each battle.
There is only news. There is no good or bad.

You could make the unit champs earn upgrades as their units succeed, get the champs up to maneater or bruiser stats with access to special rules or X amount of magic items.
