Just finished writing some custom rules for a couple of alternative magic weapons for us Ogres. As my Ogre army tends towards a Lustrian flavour, the fluff is slightly skewed in that direction. Lemme know if they're too OP. I'm hoping to write a few more custom magic items/ Ogre units/ perhaps try my hand at a special character or 2.
Comments and Crits more than welcome.
Olags Lariat of Spiky Death (Tyrant and Bruiser Only) - 35pts
This huge coiled whip was forged by taking a long length of chain and ramming a plethora of spiked detritus into the links, knives, horns and even Razordon barbs feature in this brutal show of Ogre craftsmanship. The Lariat was first used by Olag Whipcracker Cratermaker who swiftly eviscerated a Skaven Warlord who thought it best not to accept Olags bellowed challange and hid behind his vast unit of Stormvermin.
This magic weapon uses all rules for the whip. Except that the wielder may choose to use his extra attack (at the wielders S) to hit any character or champion within the unit they are in combat with regardless of whether they are in base contact. This single attack has the Killing Blow special rule. In addition, the Lariat can be used in the shooting phase as per the Chaintrap. The weapon never suffers from moving and shooting modifiers but always suffers from the Long Range modifier as well as any other applicable mods.
The Slannblaster (Tyrant Only) 80pts
Usually carried into battle alongside the great Leadbelcher units, this rare weapon rains down the full gamut of venomous dangers from the Green Hell upon the unfortunate foe. Tyrants that carry this massive hand cannon command respect of the highest order.
Counts as a Leadbelcher Gun but with the following modifications: Poisoned Attacks, S5, Multiple Shot (D6 +2), Move or Fire. In addition to this, while in close combat the Slannblaster counts as a Great Weapon. Rolls of 1 to hit are resolved against the Tyrant instead.
