Rune Maw Question

Can this banner bounce the death snipe spells to a character in the unit with this banner? My friend and I are is a discussion about it. I believe plain and simple the character is part of the unit therefore in the unit and it can be bounced. His belief is since it is targeting the character not the unit that it cant be bounced. Keep in mind that he does agree that the model is part of the unit his argument is that simply it is targeting the character not the unit. I would love o get peoples thoughts on this but if there is anything in the rules or errata that support one way or the other please note them.

It is unfortunately not terribly clear.

However I believe that spells that target part of the unit are considered to target the unit. If you had a magic banner that gave the unit a save against shooting attacks that target the unit, we'd agree that you'd get it against sniper shots, right?

I'm in agreement with Gutlord... If somebody is camping out in a unit and you then use a single model targeting spell on that single model in the unit, technically you are still targeting that unit (all be it only a small part of it) so with that in mind I would say that yes Rune Maw's effect works.

Also in full agreement with the above posters. The character in part of the unit. Any spells targeting the unit get bounced. And dats da facts.....

It seems simple to me...each model in a unit is "in the unit"..if a charatcer is put in the unit...he is not in the unit...wait that dont make sense he IS in the unit lmao
