Congratulations to Mr. Phil Mainwaring for an outstanding performance at the UK GT Heat 1, coming in at an impressive 3rd place! icon_smile

I'm attempting to contact Phil to find out if he'd care to share his advice, army list and perhaps even share a tournamant report with us.

Indeed, that is a very a-typical top ten.

It has:
Dwarfs x2
Tomb Kings x2
Ogre Kingdoms
High Elves

It doesn't have:
Skaven x4
Brettonians x3

I wonder if this is a reflection on how the 7th ed rules have 'nerfed' everyone, or whether all the skaven players just got toey because you can now target weapons teams, and started Wood Elves instead?

But it's fantastic to see the mighty Lads right up there.

Joe sturge won the Dutch GT, if I recall correctly.
I thought his wood elves are just trees.

Phil was also there, but I can't remember his place.

6 different armies out of 10. Better than average on variety. 

It's nice to see Ogre Kingdoms up there.  It will help in my effort to prove to the guys at my FLGS that Ogre Kingdoms is a viable army.

This is the list that arrived 3rd in the UK GT heat1. very rough, but we can undestand anyway how something like this can perform, right?!

Hey,

Phils list (very roughly) is;

Tyrant w/ Tenderiser
3 Butchers
3 Bulls
4x 3 Ironguts
2x 3 Yhetees


I think its probably pretty optimum for Ogres, the fact Phil is also a damn good player helps a bit aswell

Wow. 2 units of Yhetees and 3rd in tourney!
I've never used any Yhetees and many people claimed that it's overpriced.
Can anyone share on how to make the best out of these guys.

The ability to ignore terrain and thier extra movement makes them ideal for flankers and war mahcine hunters which is exactly how Phil used them.

I was shocked that he didn't have any trappers but thats just me icon_smile

How many pts it that? I try adding it up but I failed. is it 2250pts?
