Hello everybody! 
I'l just begin my Gnoblog with an introduction about my previous Warhammer experience.
To begin with, I have only just recently gotten back into the Warhammer hobby, (having going to University, I just haven't had time to commit to a hobby such as this, due to courses and work etc starting).
My last army was (I think!) in 2009, which was Skaven, when their new book was released. Having collected roughly 3000 points of models from various battalions and IoB kits with a few extra purchases of course, I was left with a huge pile of roughly 300 unpainted miniatures... and as you can imagine... my thoughts comprised of something along the lines of "FML".
- Before this I hadn't per-say had an "Army", more like a bunch of odd regiments from different armies as I never fully decided on an army to play 
Having found this Skaven army (now gathering dust in my cupboard!), I'l be promptly selling them to make way for my new army project! Which is of course, The Ogre Kingdoms!
Having scoured the internet intently for Ogre Kingdoms tactics, ideas, army diaries, blogs etc, I have settled on a 3000 point list to aim towards. In a previous post on the forum of OS, I posted this army up, but I will post it below for anybody that is interested.
I began my Ogre Kingdoms army with buying the Army book a few weeks back whilst in Aberystywth and studied it in great detail to learn what units I liked and how I wanted my force to look and play.
Here it is! Yayyyy
My first purchase came today! A load of paints and an Ogre Tyrant box set of the new "Fine-cast" stuff, which at first took me by surprise as I always liked the metal models and i'd never heard of "Fine-cast" - I was expecting them to be more of the FW style, with big bunches of resin that need putty and drilling and glue and all the trimmings to put together - don't get me wrong, lush models of course! - But this wasn't the case, simple as pie to put together. Of course the shop assistant didn't stop me from spending the extra £10 on a pinning device, which of course I thought I needed... what a waste...
Anyway, I digress, I brought the Tyrant home then assembled, primed and based him and the day after i began painting him. Now then, I haven't painted a miniature in almost 3 years and I was never the best to begin with so he probably looks a bit rough, but I'm happy with him and very happy with the new GW paints!.
I'l post the pictures at the end
The next week I ordered my first decent sized chunk of Ogres over the tinterwebs. At this stage I am waiting for this to arrive, but it was essentially an Ogre battalion with an extra regiment of Ogres, plus a bunch more paints.
Once they arrive and I have had chance to assemble them I will post them on here for all to see! But I'm loving the Ogre Kingdoms so far, and i'l keep this blog up to date with my progress and hopefully havea lot of fun in the process!
