After not painting for more than ten years I stumbled into the Games Workshop to look for a gift for a friend and promptly fell in love with those big fat bastards called Ogres.
My goal for now is to get a nice 500 point army together so I can play a quick game with some friends. Ultimate goal is a versatile 2000 pt. army.
I like the could mountains fluff that goes with the Ogre as well as the very tribal, neanderthal like feel. The idea is that my army comes straight from the mountains, so I want to keep everything as rugged and primal as possible.
Bought up to now:
Battalion:
1 unit of 8 ogres, painted.
2 units of 3 Ironguts, painted
1 unit of 12 Gnoblars, currently work in process
Butcher, almost finished
Wishlist:
2 to 4 Sabretusks
Thundertusk
Unit of 4 Leadbelchers OR Ironblaster
Another batallion
At the moment I'm working on my unit of Gnoblars and finishing the Butcher, Pictures coming up soon!

First picture of my makeshift Gnoblar unit. Still need to do some detail work on the Gnoblars and one full model that I forgot about. Bases still need some painting and snowing.
Remarks, tips, ideas and critiques more than welcome!

I like how you put that gnobblar on top of the barrel looks like hes having agood time.
I also just started collecting ogres and am trying to build a small then expand to a large army. I have the batallion box(6 bulls, 6IGs, 4LBs), and a butcher, and i guess i can make a bunch of gnobblars with extra bits from the batallion box. Only got 5 bulls painted so far, think ill buy some MFC next prolly 4 of em and i need to get some more core but wanna play a few games to decide if i should make more IGs or bulls, dont wanna buy anymore models untill im done painting the ones i have that way i stay motivated to paint. Im intrested to see what you come up with for a 500pt list, im really new to the game so really have no clue what im doing as far as whats a good list goes and whats not. I saw on youtube a 500pt list with a stonehorn IGs, bulls and sabertusks, seemed like a good list but i could be wrong, lol. Good luck on your army fellow ogre.
PS-like the name of your tribe its funny, i need to come up with some backstory, name and fluff for my tribe, im not that creative lol.

Oh that Gnoblar is having one hell of a time, bossing the rest around!
All the Gnoblars you see in the picture above are made from the battalion box, so it's definitely doable! I only have one duplicate model in the unit, thanks to the little filler in the middle.
My 500 point list is as follows, should you be interested:
General:
Butcher, additional weapon - 102 points
Core:
6 bulls including 1 crusher, 1 bellower. All armed with ironfists - 212 points
3 Ironguts including one bellower. - 149 points
12 Gnoblars including one groinbiter - 35 points
Total:
498 points.
I'll probably play with this setup somewhere next week, so I'll let you know how it went. Thanks for the reply!

Hey whats colour is that youre using on the very tips of the noses of gnobs, ive seen lots of ppl do that effect i really like it gives it alot of feel that its not a regualr goblin.

It's a mixture of Evil Sunz Scarlet, Kislev Flesh, Ceramic White and water. I also use it on the tips of the ears. I'm not doing it to distinguish them from regular gobbs though, more because they're walking through snow and we all know what that does to our noses and ears
