Chaos Ogres

original thread ↗

Hi everyone.

After reading the FW Chaos Dwarf army book and seeing the pictures of the Ogres, I have decided to do a Chaos themed Ogre army.

I plan to use this blog to motivate me to keep going.

Here are my bases. I am going to try to do a lava finish on them.
I have stolen this idea directly from @Jon_Kerr_CKM on twitter.....Juggerfang cavalry! Here are the riders. Note the chaos standard topper and shields for shoulder pads on the two riders on the left.
Here is my Ogre Prince Slaughtermaster.
Pretty awesome! Already thought of a colorscheme? Maybe some tentacles from their back? Of spikes?
Thanks Silox!

I was thinking of red and white for the pants (like in the Tamurkhan book), flesh tones as normal with some Chaos freehand on the pants.

I have brought a spawn kit for the very purposes you mentioned. But I was thinking of keeping the rank and file to minimal mutations (like maybe on the champ) but then really going to town on my unit of maneaters.... Giving them tails, spikes etc... And then painting them up in all different colours. This will represent that my maneaters haven't travelled all over the Old World, but all over The Warp.

I was also thinking of sticking a normal ogre body onto a dragon orgre legs etc... and using that as a Butcher.
I Like that! ''Simple'' ogres is a good idea. That way you keep it fairly normal and you can make those big characters like big ugly mutations xD
Im looking forward to some pictures!
Here is my Ogre Prince Slaughtermaster.
Like this guy alot. The wings are a really cool idea. Thanks!

Rust on my juggerfang riders.
Haven't updated in a while. I have been plugging away slowly, but work and real life and diablo 3 seem to get in the way:)

Here is an attempt at freehand on the banner (the design is lifted straight of Tamurkhan).

Bases are desolate, rocky looking. I will paint lava on so these are work in process shots. The green stuff will be painted over and will hopefully look like bubbles.
Here is the back of one of my juggerfang riders. The army will have a mix of red, white and red and white pants.
Here are the bases...just got to put some water effects over the lava.
Love the idea and your painting looks very good, especially the banner.
I'm really looking forward to see how your army turns out :)
