Over on TWF it's been revealed that there will be at least 21 Ogre Kingdoms armies battling on the tables of the South Coast Grand Tournament this year (many of you outside of the UK may be familiar with this Portsmouth-based tournament as it's organised by the HeelanHammer guys), meaning that it's looking like Ogres will be easily the most prominent army at the event - by the Maw, how times have changed!
Ogre Kingdoms - 21
Lizardman - 14
Vampire Counts - 14
Dark Elves - 11
Skaven - 11
Warriors of Chaos - 11
Bretonnians - 10
High Elves - 10
Daemons of Chaos - 9
The Empire - 8
Tomb Kings - 7
Wood Elves - 6
Beastmen - 5
Dwarfs - 3
Orcs and Goblins - 3
Chaos Dwarfs - 2
More people playing Ogre Kingdoms is great as far as I'm concerned (though I may be a little biased - hah!) and as the amount of 8th edition army books released increases, it'll be interesting to see if Ogres can maintain a high level of popularity on the tournament scene.
The tournament begins on the 21st of April - I'll definitely be keeping an eye on how it progresses. Best of luck to all!
Any Stronghold members attending?
