Ogre Specific Markers

original thread ↗

Anyone have any player created Ogre specific markers with text and graphics maybe? Such as spell effects (Regen, +1 Tough, etc), banner effects, etc? I'm looking to print and laminate.

Hi there,

I'm thinking about doing the same thing, but with modelled markers. I'm just about to start a campaign and needed some army position markers.  This gave me the idea to make some markers up for the augment spells, and being meat, I thought it would work really well.

Hi, I'm doing the same as this.
Here's mine so far, I also have a couple of Skellie Torsos for the Spinemarrow spell, but don;t have any pictures yet.

I just lay the appropriate magic card next to or on the unit.

However if you have more than one Butcher and cast it twice on different units? Or it affects more than 1 unit?
That's why I am doing 2 of each marker!
It also prevents the cards from being damaged by being placed on a potentially dirty or rough surfaced table! :D

HG
Harkon Greywolf they look wicked mate. I need to label mine up for the characters around the rim as well. I normally put the  card by the unit, but this way looks so much better, and leaves the battlefiled a little less clutered.

I agree with that, it's the main reason why I did it, that and it looks cool and in character with the army! :D
I copied the idea from a mate who does the same at our gaming club.
Also, as often happens, there's room to place the markers at the back of the relevant movement tray too, so there's little chance of applying it to the wrong unit in a "melée"!

HG
Nice work on those markers you two! For those of you who do not want to make them yourself (people like me...  :goops:) Tabeltop-Art also makes markers: http://www.tabletop-art.de/Gut-Magic-Marker

I have them and they are of a good casting quality for the price... their magnet bases are also quite good, the magnet foil set seem to be stronger than a set of another manufacturer I also have.

If the shipping is too expensive, there should be other companies making similar ones as well...or you do them yourself. But I was too lazy tbh... :glol: (and I needed the Magnetic Foils)

The Resin ones are quite good aren't they? But even they don't have Spine Marrow! ;) LOL

HG

Good idea there!
A lot less hassle than my method with bits of skeletons! ;)

HG
right i finaly got my camera to work (but its not a great camera so sorry for the quality) so im gunna put my spine marrow marker on and the items i used to make it
here is the marker and the items all layed out just for you guys  ;)

here is an image of the marker up close

now for the items i used :
two 20mm bases

the base decoration from the stonehorn/thundertusk kit with some size reduction to fit on the base such as the skull removed and some of the "gravel" from the sides removed (easily done with clippers)

and some greenstuff (not for any major sculpting just to fill in any gaps from the size reduction on the base decor also you wont need this much its just so you dont get confused as to what it is

of course this is just my interpretation of it and other people may do it differently but i understand people have been having trouble with the spine marrow marker so here you go and please dont be affraid to use this idea i realy dont mind and if anyone has done it differently please show me id like to see them  :)

I must buy those markers, too bad I broke at the moment. :(

Keep Calm and Praise the Sun!
Browsing through my bitz box yesterday I found some skeleton horses which could be used to display Spinemarrow. I'll see what can be done and if there's any success I'll let you know!  :>)
(the ones from Tabletop-Art were released before the current AB, so no markers for it in there. :))
