Hi Guys

I am busily trying to glue 2400 points of Ogres together so I can enter my first tournament ( end of April )

Only ever played 2 games of Warhammer so I need to build the army , paint it and learn to play ( well the basics ) by then. Stay tuned for certain disaster.

I am theming my army around plenty of shooting - don't know if that's smart but it appeals to me

Anyway here is my BSB for starters...

Here is Ned K

He is the first of my 3 Maneaters. His Sawn off double barrelled shotgun works just like a brace of pistols

Glad to see ye find some use for Bragg. I reckons there 's a lot of player using him as a basis for their BSB (well, so did I).

I like that double barrelled shotgun, but do ye plan on going for an Aussie theme?

Ha ha ha... Ned K rules!
My hood is my castle...
Here is my other Standard Bearer

keeping an eye out for him is his Gnoblar "Tapper"

Very nice models.  I like the double barrel maneaters.  I was thinking of using Bragg as my death lore butcher/SM but looks like he works well for a BSB as well.  Will have to ponder about that.
There is only news.  There is no good or bad.
Brilliantly placed Gnoblar!
My test model is now finished.

I think thats good enough in my eyes to play with so now to do the rest of 'em

Approved!  An army of these boys is MORE than table worthy.  Well done!

Awesome shotgun - I may steal that idea for one of my maneaters. I did something similar with the same harpoon launcher, except I turned it into a winchester double barrel rifle. You can see pics in my gnoblog (see the link in my sig) if you are interested.

Good painting indeed!

One suggestion... Make the gutplate battle worn and it will be ace.
My hood is my castle...
They're looking great! ...I hope you don't mind if I steal the idea for yourgnoblar placing, he looks spot on.

Very solid looking paint job as well, although I second that the gutplate needs soething: maybe even just dotting the rivets silver would be enough to get some contrast, a couple of chips wouldn't go amiss though: his sword is pretty battleworn, although his gnoblar squire could have been repainting it between battles :)

Keep it up, looking forward to more updates!

Hi Guys

Thanks for the comments and feel free to steal any of my ideas - you can bet I am going to be stealing some of yours  :D

I really am in two minds about the gutplates - I mean your gut is your pride - and in order to show you never take a blow to it you might ( secretly ) makes sure it's always repainted to look like your invincible - your weapons of course should always look well used  :P

The Gnoblar so nearly fits perfectly and all it needs is a shield or some arm armour to make his feet fit just right - bit hard to see in my picture but there is an Empire shield nailed to his arm.

Looking at it again you could be right about gutplate rivets  :|
absolutely gorgeous painting! i agree with the gut plate thing, but i think it totally works either way!

have your first gnoblar good sir!
Open your eyes or the pain will flood in, thought for today is not to give in.
