Gutbag Giantkiller the Obese and his Fatbelly Tribe

This is my current project: mournfang cav. I USED to have great weapon armed mournfangs. I did not understand the potential of irongfisty-fangs until I read through the forums and then found out for myself.

Not too much detail to showcase, other than the bases. Will be posting pics as they develop.

I wasn't satisfied with my bestial ogre vampire, so I gave it move DYNAMIC ENTRY!

He's gotta look 110% menacing for the campaign. Any suggestions on the positioning?I wanted it to look like he was kicking up and over the ruined arch right before he descends on a unit.

Nice work there on the ogres.

I like what you've done with the vampire. Regards the pose though he doesn't really look like he's about to descend on a unit...The raised leg looks seems a bit off. I would suggest bending it at the knee.
The other thing that may help is to adjust his left arm so it points towards his target. This will make it feel like he's really focussed on the doomed unit.

Goodluck with it, I'll be interested to see it complete and painted.

The arm and the stock is from the harpoon launcher from the stonehorn kit, and so is the leather sling. The barrel is one of those flight stands with the pegs cut off. Finally, the muzzle of the rifle was taken from a vampire counts skeleton musician. Hope this helps! 

FINALLY, the new mini for Gutbag the Obese has arrived. Time to shift painting priorities.

Regarding the Vampiric Ogres, I 'd say that his pose is dynamic enough

I like those pirates, but methinks they could use a more little blackpowder weaponry to make them stand out a little more from the regular bulls.

What I need help with is the zazz. It needs to be ZAZZED up more; ogre-fied more. Any suggestions on what you would do with it? The arm in particular, holding the unfortunate victim, needs the most zazzing.

That mount/chariot for Gutbag looks ace. Really nice re-working of the Scraplauncher *

Well, first of all, I'm darn-well impressed with what you've done, so my advice seems silly compared to the expert skill displayed here

I'd say he needs more offal and meaty-bits hanging about. On his person, on his chariot, everywhere. Also, if he's the type that allows gnoblars to mingle about him, I think a few of those sparingly placed about would add some more to it (perhaps even have one atop the rhinox up front? lol).

The other thing I've noticed about the Gutbag model (even though it's really cool), is that he looks sad. Like, depressed. And I don't feel like it gives the right mood to the setting; Gutbag's about to have a tasty chunk of human flesh that he's yet to hack up, he should be expressing like it's Gutmas or something!

As for the rack that's holding up the next meal, I dunno in particular, but maybe place some skulls or body parts hooked around it? Not too many, mind you, just enough to get the point across 

One last thing, imo, his cooking pot seems a bit small for him. It'd probably work for a basic Butcher model, but Gutbag is a lot bigger, so it seems that he could use a larger stewpot for his victual rituals

I hope I help a bit. Honestly, though, your models rock. Very good job! Keep it up!

Ok, added some more ZAZZ, including but not limited to

-chains to hold up the "slaughter arm"
-bulked out the slaughter arm in general
-gutting utensil rack
-various other meats and snacks for the slaughtermaster on the go
-lotsa hooks. can't have too many hooks.

And the pot at the bottom is more of a "drip pan" than an actual cooking pot. Anything that slops out of his victim falls in there for later consumption. Waste not want not!

Oh, I'm sure some wizard kit may already have an open book available. Even if it's in the hand of some model, you can just have that be a part of the base, or use that to extend outwards.

Do the halfling models have a cookbook either?

I do have a leftover wizard spellbook from the empire wizard's kit.

Maybe i'll leave the hand attached, just make it look like the book was being clung to for dear life. Doesn't seem like something that would phase an ogre. And a gnoblar would make an excellent bookstand.
