The Chasers of the Fang
Okay, I was considering revamping my old Army Diary, but I thought, in light of the new website, new name for Army Diaries (Gnoblogs), and my new start in life (Move to New Zealand), Id start again from scratch. Now I know this means beginning again with no Views, no replies etc. however I hope that this new improved diary proves just as popular as the older one.
Sadly before now I never had the time to bring my Vision to life, in terms of the sculpting required and time needed, but in order to facilitate this, Im now setting myself smaller projects and one step at a time I will bring The Chasers of the Fang to life.
So, each project will be either a single unit, or single character, one at a time, converted over to the way of the new tribe. Some of these will be starting from scratch, the Tyrant for example is not yet together or painted, others will be converting and updating already complete units, some of my Gnoblars and Bulls for example.
As most of you are aware Ive decided to call my tribe The Chasers of the Fang, and the fluff below will explain why
The Fluff
My Tyrant, Farang the inedible, Saved his tribe from a giant, chaos warped serpent whose shear size would cause even the mightiest Ogre to quake in fear.
This snake, with fangs as long as a thinling and oozing vile scorching venom had been preying on his tribe for months. His father, the Tyrant at the time, had lost his edge in battle although not yet the fear or respect of his tribe, and had to be coerced by his son to go out and do battle with the deadly beast.
So set of Farang and his father, tracking the beast through the grey rubble of the mountains, and the dark forbidding forest which lay at the heart of their valley, weeks they spent out in the wilderness, searching for this terrible threat to the tribe, however this was no simple beast, but one corrupted by chaos, and possessing an uncanny intelligence and wickedness.
Knowing what it faced, the two mightiest Ogres in the valley, the monster led them through the most treacherous terrain, over steep cliffs, through poisonous swamps, the frozen peaks of mountains, always leaving small signs for them to follow. The serpents aim? Well to weaken its prey, enough to be able to destroy them
Eventually they traced the beast all the way to its lair, a cave in the side of a cliff, where the bones of fallen Ogres lay scattered in the dirt. And so it was, with no witnesses apart from his son and maybe the spirits of the fallen, that this old weathered Tyrant stepped out into the clearing before the cave, brandishing his great weapon above his head he charged the entrance of the cave, gut plate fully extended, to pound the beast into the dirt.
Farang however simply sat by and watched as his father, whom he knew to be too slow to tackle this quick and vicious enemy, ran to his doom. It is the way of things, his Fathers time had come, time for a new Tyrant to lead the tribe, Farangs time.
As Farang watched, the lightning quick beast lunged out of it's lair to snap up this tasty morsel running right up to it's lair, and without so much as a single swing of his weapon the Ogre Tyrant was no more.
Farang knew that in order to take control of his tribe he would have to best this beast, and so, while it was still swallowing his father he stepped out beside it...
A few days later Farang strode back into the midst of his tribe, bearing with him the head of this great serpent, which was to be turned into a great mantle showing of his mighty dead to all. However this was not the only prize with which he returned, his body was now crossed with great scars, glowing with the energy of chaos, declaring to all that this was more than any mere simple Ogre, but rather a great and mighty Tyrant, demanding respect from his tribe and causing terror amongst his enemies!
He was from that day onwards Known as Farang the Inedible.

The weapon is humourously large. But still thats great work. Keep up the great work.
