Hello all,  I'm a new player to Warhammer Fantasy and I've decided to pick up Ogres as my first army. I chose ogres for numerous reasons and I really love their fluff. Unfortunately, I've been speculating on this army for a longtime.  I've been playing Warhammer 40k and I know what's it like to build an army, paint it, then come up with an even cooler idea for the army once it was built. So needless to say I'm trying to narrow down a good idea for my army and I have three ideas to choose from for my tribe.

I was wondering if I could get some opinions on which idea of mine sounds more intriguing design wise.

Now, I don't have any names down just yet. So everything may sound a little generic.

Dark Iron - This tribe of Ogres has become quite fascinated with the workings of blackpowder and metallurgy. It is this fascination that has caused their Tyrant and their local Firebellies to work out deals with the Chaos Dwarves exchanging mercenary contracts, slaves, and plunder in exchange for armor, weapons, technology, and the knowledge to reproduce their own tools. The home of these Ogres resembles a factory more then a fortress with massive ash-covered chimneys pumping out billowing black clouds of ash. Greasy, ash-colored gnoblar skitter about feeding the roaring and clanking mechanisms that vomit forth molten sheets of metal that are quickly grabbed up by ogre craftsman and beaten into more useful shapes.

The Ogres of this Tribe are the color of ash due to the lack of sunlight in their smoke choked lands. The metal armor they wear is made of blackened iron and brilliant coppers. As well, in attempts to further mimic their Chaos Dwarf tutors some of these ashen beasts tattoo and scar themselves with runes. Even the Firebellies of this tribe have had their belief in the Fire Maw tainted by the appeal of industry with many a Firebelly blending their shamanistic rituals with the maintenance and construction weaponry the suits their fiery abilities.

What's even more disturbing is the joint efforts of creating warpstone powered constructs. These massive clanking monstrosities mimicking the beasts of war and burden the less-civilized ogres use.

(Scratchbuild wise - Major use of Deffdread, Killakan, and Defiler parts to make mechanical Stormtusks, Stonehorns, and Giants. Most likely will use Bloodcrushers of Khrone painted black and scratched up with runes to make Mournfangs.)

Voidmaw - The twisting caverns and dark reaches beneath the Mountains of Mourn are home to many a dark thing. One such thing are Gorgers, the forgotten and degenerated members of the Ogre race tossed into the depths to appease the Great Maw. It is generally accepted that an Ogre child who's scrawny, sickly, and lacking the distinct paunch of his kin is to be cast aside. What if an Ogre parent took pitty on its child? Tried hard to nurse the poor thing till it developed plenty of meat on its bones? What if these efforts were for not and the child having been kept in secret to the point it could talk and want to know why it was different was then thrown into the dark depths?

What would the ravening hunger, the terror of being alone in the dark, and the corruption of warp stone do to a developed mind? What sort of Gorger would such a child become? Would the boy remain intelligent? Would it eventually force its brutality onto other Gorgers using its intellect to corral them into a cohesive pack? Would he direct them towards the surface, towards the tribe that abandoned him?  The Voidmaw Tribe is the result of such a Gorger. Their tribal home was sunk into a massive sinkhole wrought by their degenerated brethren.

But, instead of finding themselves torn limb from limb the tribe was subjugated by a Gorger who could hold his hunger in check. After a devastating display of his martial prowess ending with the bowels of the Tyrant strewn across the crowd by his wicked talons the tribe quickly fell into its new role as Slaves and Cattle.  Years turned into decades, decades into centuries and after centuries of subjugation.  Ogre society had been changed and warped. By then the Gorgers had become a dominating class with esteemed positions using their warp spawned superiority to make them a force to be reckoned with.

By now the Ogres that dwelled under this bondage were as pale as grubs and their eyes glowed blood red. The constant effect of warpstone upon their bodies has given some of them bony scales lining their backs and faces making them far more durable during a tunnel collapse. Their mindset has also changed becoming more animalistic and understanding only the basic utilities of clothing, weaponry, and to them their girth was more of a sign of garnering their master's favor then it was a sign of power. Never the less no Ogre was allowed to grow old (No, the meat wouldn't be as supple) and those that were wounded on the battlefield were quickly slaughtered and offered up as food.

The common tactic of this tribe is to dig under a settlement and subsequently sink it. This idea is also heavily influenced by the Gugs from H.P Lovecrafts Dreamquest of Unknown Kadath and the Locust of Gears of War.

(Gorger Tyrants and etc would be procured by kitbashing the new Cryptfiends. Mournfangs would be riding chitenous spiders made from tyranids or albino mournfangs. Other monsters would be made to be more subterranean.)

Star Eaters - A completely mobile tribe of wizened if not eccentric ogres whom travel the world looking not only to fill their bellies with a wide variety of foods but to also chase down and devour meteorites. This tradition first began with an Irongut witnessing the fall of a meteor. The brute knowing a thing or two about metal being that he consumed large amounts of it as an Irongut recognized the possibilities of what would happen if he ate such rare metal given Ogre superstition. Besides, as a metal connoisseur he couldn't pass up such an opportunity. So the Irongut ate the meteor and to his luck he could swallow the thing. Even more so fortune smiled upon him as the strange metal settled into his gut he began feeling its power radiating through him as his flesh took on a slight metallic sheen.

Future battles proved that his combat prowess had been enhanced and thinling arrows bounced off his hide. The Irongut quickly became the champion for his Tyrant whom was steadily growing jealous of the young upstart. It didn't take long for the Tyrant to learn the secret to his champions strength and with a hungry grin he challenged his champion believing if he ate the meteorite tainted Ogre his strength would be his. The Tyrant would never know if his hypothesis was correct but the son of the Champion (and new Tyrant) would soon find that the blessing of the meteorite did pass upon consumption.

So it came to pass that each new Tyrant would devour the last and gain the blessings of the meteorite. Unfortunately, other members of the tribe wishing to gain such power looked to the skies for their own meteorite and thus to keep the balance of power the Tyrant deemed that their tribe would wander the world looking for meteorites. Upon finding one they would dig a pit in which to challenge each other for the right to consume the meteorites they find. Of course, not every star that falls grants the same blessing and many ogres find that their hard won prize does little for them. Meanwhile, other Ogres have taken to tracking down items created from the various Starmetals seeking to obtain or devour such items for themselves.
