Any viable ways to take out Teclis in turn 1 or 2?
Maneaters/sniper= Costs alot and not good enough odds.
Hellheart= Know one knows if this works on him so would probably roll for it. 50% chance it wont work on him. Not good enough odds for cost.
Sabretusks= I like the idea of this but 99% of the time the unit he's in will kill them before thay get to attack teclis. (any way to make this work?)
Any Ideas?

Death magic, provided that he's not in a unit with the Banner of the World Dragon (sadly, he tends to be).

Snipers are the only sure way.
yeah, they are expensive, but they can also snipe the other characters running around and they are still Maneaters with ranged attacks and an XHW. pretty burly in combat any way you slice it.

I'm abit hazey on the sniper rules. Unit of 6 with Brace, scout and sniper will be in long range on the first turn. Whats the amout of fire they put out and what are they hitting on?
Teclis has T3 and no ward?

T2 and no save of any kind. So Poison here is a bit unnecessary, you already wound him on a 2, so we'll go with Scout + Sniper, to guarantee we'll be in range even the High Elf player decides to turtle his Teclis bunker up in a corner somewhere.
Either way, your first round is going to be at a -1 to hit (you start just out of close range, and if you move up for it, you take the move-and-shoot penalty), plus the -1 for Multiple Shots, and the -1 for Sniper. So you hit on 6's. You get 5/3 Wounds out of the first volley, and your opponent is faced with a choice. Does he try and charge you (in which case you'll stand and shoot and probably finish the job, and even if you don't it's doubtful that he'll kill 6 Maneaters in CC before you get your turn at bashing Teclis to a pulp), or does he ignore you and let you peck away at Teclis? I think this is the best solution Ogres have to offer for Teclis.

To be fair, they can move up and shoot with no penalty - Ogre Pistols are Quick to Fire

The answer to everything is sabretusks. There is no problem that can't be solved at least in part with kitties.
Record: 17/14/5 Last game: 2400 vs Warriors - Win Learning Points: Cannonballing off a Disc Riding Chaos Lord is immensly satisfying!
Note that Teclis is actually T2, so poison isn't even that useful in this case.
BS4(3+), multishot -1, sniper -1, long range -1=> 6 to hit at long range. Each one has 2 attacks, so typical unit has 12 shots. They average 2 wounds with poison, or 1.667 without. At short range, he'll get hit twice as often, so 4 hits for an average of 3.66 wounds with poison or 3.33 without.
He may go down in 1 turn, and almost assuredly will be down by turn 2.

Ah, I missed that. Then you should definitely move up and shoot - you'll hit on 5's, and stats say that you kill him outright on the first volley.

He has 3 wounds, so on average you won't kill him turn 1, but you could get lucky.

Well, if our Pistols being Quick to Fire is true, and I think it is, I think you can kill him T1, provided you get to close range. You'd be hitting on 5's and wounding on 2's with 12 shots, which averages to 3.33 Wounds.

Sniper maneaters are sounding better and better! Thanks for the help.
Never used sniper before because I play against Dwarf and WoC(4 or 3+ plus ward on wizard) but it sounds like they are made to take out Teclis
Any other armies got a better way of killing him quick?

Well, DE have an item that makes a wizard take toughness tests(taking a wound each time with no saves) till he passes.

Still learning the game but doesn't using Sniper use up the multishots? "A model with the Sniper...instead of shooting normally."

"Normal" shooting doesn't use multi-shots either.
they are both an additional rule that doesn't conflict with the other.

If you get turn one with scout sniper maneaters, teclis has not bad odds that he will go down. Worth it completely if he goes down, since your army should be able an army that just lost its best winning factor.
