I miss a cople of magic items that could be carried by your bruiser:

Ironcurse icon: A must have for your army. you only have to save one wound to earn back the points!
Sword of anti heroes: Run your wide bull unit into a death star and have your bruiser massacre the unit.

Perhaps scroll of shielding on one of your butchers?

Personally, I would leave the maneaters at home for more leadbelchers.

Yes, maybe I should drop the maneaters, they are so expensive and Ironblaster almost as good at the job (I was gonna snipe some low toughness HE with them) and the bruiser need some items indeed. Gonna leave the Maneaters and see what I can come up with, maybe some more Leadbelchers.
