ironloota' ogre tribe

hey all,
my idea for a tribe is the ironloota's, and i am in need of some advise. the idea around the army is going to be very loot heavy army, most of the weapons and Armour being scavenged of other armys, so here is my question.
what is the best bit box(es) to do this with?

Ask people at your club to let you loot their bits boxes. I did something very similar with my Ogres. Most of them have armour made from the extra shields I found and cool little extra bits. I found some really neat stuff from an Empire player. Bretonnia has some fun stuff too.

Working on a similar task myself. 

Theres a lot of shields that suit the purpose.  Mostly shields from smaller beings.  Bigger shields can work, but they usually need cutting.  Shields from these kits can work as is:
Skinks
marauders
dwarfs
skeletons
goblins
state troops
ungor
stormvermin
DE warriors
knights of the realm(the tiny shields)
ect

Weapons are a harder match.  You can turn 2H weapons from the smaller guys into 1H weapons for the ogres.  Conversely, you can turn 1H weapons from giants into 2H weapons for ogres.  No matter what you pick, you'll have to do a bit of cutting to make it work.  Some weapons that fit reasonably well are:
marauder flails(1H)
minotaur axes
sepulchral stalkers halberds
Troll weapons
daemon prince sword/axe
any of the giant's weapons(2H)
black orc choppas

If you are buying the kits yourself try get kits that make diffren't units from the same kit ( such as empire state troops) Think creative too for example, scale mail made from halberd heads. Then selll the bits you don't use online?
Also check bits sites - horde o' bits - bitzbox or ebay for shields and bits of armour!

I got a bunch of minotaur weapons and gor shields if you are intrested?
