Onna Stick

original thread ↗

Was kicking around a fun idea, and could use some points value feedback. It could quickly get expensive since you have to buy a magic weapon too...

Tyrant Weapon Upgrade: Onna Stick

It was Tyrant Grott Fatfingers who pioneered lashing a magical weapon to a broken greatweapon haft, granting him a mighty magical two-handed wallop.

A Tyrant that choses the Onna Stick weapon upgrade can purchase a one handed magical weapon as normal. The item becomes a great weapon, retaining its magical properties, conferring the standard +2 STR and ASL special rule.
It has to be expensive. Choosing between the Str upgrade and the other magic properties is always a tough one, but now you get everything. I'd say about the 30-40 point range.

(By the way, the name is awesome, and the reason I clicked here! :D )

The answer to everything is sabretusks.  There is no problem that can't be solved at least in part with kitties.

I really like the idea, but I think it would be pretty expensive also... like at least 35 points, possibly 45 points. Either way it would be cool and something I'd try out with some pretty nasty combos.

Sword of Anti Hero's "Onna Stick"... +3S (8S) and +1A(6A) in a challenge! 70 points total. Look out Necrosphynx... Worth it!
Mash der skullz n bleed em out dry boyz... Leev nothin but bonz! (Ogre Tyrant Grux Maw of the Mangle Tusk Tribe)

Though remember you can't challenge a Necrosphynx... ;)

Thanks for the feedback - 40 would probably be a sound number... Would put the total cost up towards the siegebreaker and thundermace gw's and be much more fun!

And fact of life: everything tastes better onna stick!
Interesting option.

I think it would be very good when combined with the Sword of Swift slaying. +2Str at inititive.

So for the Sword of Swift Slaying Onna Stick that would be 25 + 35-45 for onna stick
this would equal around 65 points and for this you would get magical attacks, +2 strength
and get to strike at initiative order. Why not take a ogre blade which would give exactly the same
for 40 points and it would leave the other hand open for a ironfist.

Although the onna stick is a fun idea that I will be using in my Mighty Empires game
coming up so thanks.

My other army is Skaven and thought I might try something slightly different for a new army... haha slightly may be an understatement.
