Tonight I played in a game where we had 8k per side. 4 players 4k a piece.
I took
Slaughtermaster Lore of Beasts
Butcher Lore of the Maw
Bragg
Tyrant
Bruiser BSB
12 Bulls
12 Ironguts
2x 4 leadbechers
3 Yhetees
2 Scraplaunchers
An Ironblaster
Stonehorn
Thundertusk
3 mournfang
My partner was playing Empire and I dont know his list
We faced VC and Warriors of Chaos.
I wont bore you with the play by play but I'll give my highlights and my take on a few things I was testing.
First, the Mournfang are rockstars. They took out a horde unit of Ghouls that was 5 deep by themselves over 3 rounds. The Slaughtermaster was an absolute nightmare for the WOC player to deal with. During the last turn I got Savage beast of Horros off in the upgraded version and I had charged with the ogres and with the ironguts. I hit a large unit of Frenzied nurgle warriors with the Ogres and a big unit of Tzeentch hand weapon shield warriors with the Ironguts. Bragg and my Tyrant were in the Ogre unit and the Bruiser, my Slaughtermaster and the Butcher were in the Irongut unit. With just the characters I managed to get enough combat rez to have him testing on double ones. The +3 Str and +3 attacks to all characters within 12" was unreal. I chased down both units and it was then and there that the game was called. I crushed the center of the table with one charge and both opponents recognized that the game was over and there was no point finishing the game.
I have to say that Lore of Beasts and the +2 armor +4 ward on the slaughtermaster made the difference in this game. If I can I'll take him in every game!
