General Playstyle:
I want to deploy my maneaters as close as possible to possibly charge on turn 1 (if I go second) or position them to receive minimal amounts of gunfire (if I go first). The Ld banner + stubborn will help them stay in combat till they die during which:

Ogres and Ironguts march up the field with ironblaster ranged support. Ideally the sabres move and support the maneaters currently in combat, as well as attempt to redirect cavalry or other fast moving units. Ideally the gorgers will arrive while the maneaters are fighting / have just been wiped out. Giving my opponent another round of combat dealing with them just in time to reform and take a charge from my main combat IGs and Ogre units.

Thoughts on how this would theoretically pan out in a real battle? Weaknesses in this strategy? Any advice would be welcome  :D

I don't know if you plan on running your units 3x3, but you might want to go with doing 4x2 and just have 1 guy alone in the back. It may not look as pretty as 3x3 but I think it might help.  The odds are you're gonna lose 1 model during the ogres slog across the battle field. In 3x3 this mean, 6 models in combat, rank bonus 1.  In 4x2+1, you lose a model you have 8 ogres in combat rank bonus 1.

I can't really see anything I'd change to the list itself given the play style you are going for, except to maybe consider dropping the ironblaster for some mournfang cav.  Your opponent either has to decide to focus any shooting he has on your cav, thus saving your 2 ogre units, or if he decides to shoot into the ogre targets, he'll have another nasty unit against him in the early rounds.

There is no question that Maneaters is not the answer too.
