Does anyone else have these kinds of troubles lol. I have been really struggling to come up with a tribe name for my tribe. It seems all the good ones are taken, or they cool ones don't fit. I have seen alot of good tribal names here but I am not about to take or borrow anyone elses names. So I am stuck and now I decided to call out for some assistance or ideas.
Anyways I have finally figured out the basic color scheme I am going to use for my ogres, now to actually find time to start painting some basic ogres. Anyways my army will be based on a snowy lava field, basically steams of flowing lava with the ground they are standing on being covered in snow, so the bases will have a nice mix of fire and ice. The skin will be a charcoal or stony grey color, really dark almost like an obsidian feel to the army. I have decided that the tatoo's/tribal war paint will be done up in yellow as it will be a striking color against the black skin tone. The metals will be done in a brassy or rusted metal color(as I am still debating the metals). The pants are goign to be done in a dark turquoise color, essentially a black highlighted up to turquoise, enough to make them not blue, but not black either. I want the army essentially to be dark with some bright contrasting colors. All the wood will of course be done in brown built up to an offwhite color, and they will have some leather pouches. I will probably make the beasts in artic colors, with the mourncats being more tiger like in patterning. All the hair on my ogres will be done in whites and light greys.
I am up for a change of the tribal warpaints and pants colors, possibly swapping htem up and doing yellow pants and enchanted-icy blue tribal patterns. I might do some sketches before I start painting to see which I like best. Either way I am going to do black skin with yellow and a blue/turquoise color as my main striking colors in the army. I am thinking of doing my litle gnoblars in either a red flesh tone or an icy blue flesh tone. i want the little buggers to be in tune with an elemental aspect on the bases being either fire or ice. Since I don't plan on any red I might stick to making the frost gnoblars.
As for ideas for names I am totally at a loss. It would help so I can work out a nice army icon that incorportates some ogre imagery that I can repeat throughout the army. Its going to be a slow build as I have to find time between work, school, and other family stuff. I am so clueless on good and proper sounding ogre names so any ideas would be awesome. I am going to try to get cracking on the painting of the first ogre sometime this week depending on my homework assignments this week. At least get started enough to do some wip photo shots and maybe start a blog.
