Bleedin 'eck, VC on top of that?

On Topic:
I think the VC release is going to mostly be a disguised nerf fest, to bring them mechanically in line with the rest of the edition.  Drakenhoff banner might stick around, but the Crown of Command, Loremaster, and Mastery skills will be history.  Lore of Vampires will take a beating and lose Dance Macabre in its current form.  GW will disguise these nerfs by pricing skeletons in line with the TK version, returning Lord Necromancers to the book, and adding something to represent bloodlines back into the game.  I really think it will mostly be a tone down on things people hate.

Off Topic:
Monsters have always been and always will be overpriced (except the Hydra and Abomb), because people are still generally butthurt by terror bombing and GW overvalues Terror in their pricing.  Factually, a Giant is a descent deal for the psychological factor it brings to the game and Stonehorns would be considered a descent buy in any other army that didn't have access to T4 GW troops as core.  Its just that the boost to the shooting phase and the massive upswing in GW use (step-up boosted this) has made monsters a lot less attractive.

I have love for ushabti! I just wouldn't use them as they are stupidly over-priced, in both points and cash. I keep being tempted to wrap some bandages around some ogres and use my mates TKs to proxy an Ushabti Horde though...
LOL whatever turns you on...

Suffice to say I've not seen any on the table with the new book anyway. Although my mate and I did look at the ushtabi and were kicking around the idea of an ushtabi horde, which could be rather fun.
