Kal-el's Gnoblog

original thread ↗

Hey all, I am a 31 yr old man from South Africa. I recently started warhammer again, and this time i decided to go with the army i have always wanted to play with. Of course that is OGRES!!!! Seeing as i have just restarted, and have recently joined this forum, i thought i should start my own gnoblog.

As i said, i have only just started again recently, and as such have started this army from scratch. i will be posting a lot of pictures as i progress through the army starting now. So i hope you enjoy this as much as i am doing it.
In Quantum Physics they say that you can be in two places at once. if that is the case, then where the HELL ELSE AM I?
So far here are the Ogre Bulls, i made them to follow my favourite rugby team the Blue Bulls!

My Ironguts, as you can see, i have used some unit fillers for the bulls, and here i have used a second hand giant as a unit filler for this unit. the Giant is second hand and painted very badly, so i will have to fix that, but all in due time.

Here are my Leadbelchers, unfortunately they don't fit behind each other nicely, so i had to make a plan, i think this was a good way of putting them together, and it will also draw attention.

My Bruiser BSB, i love the model of the paymaster maneater, so i decided to use it as one of my man pieces! you might notice that i modified it a little. I put more mace like items on the arm, and changed the gut plate to one of the tyrants spares.

Wow, I have to say those are some very original Unit fillers! :)

I'm not sure about the statue and terrain, even though it does look good, I't a bit weird to have a wall counting as an ogre... It would be no problem with me, but some might think it odd.

The one I really like though is the Giant, it looks really great to have him walking with the other Ogres rather than beside them, has a really "natural" look if you see what I mean. A nice unit filler, and an excellent way to use a spare Giant!

Nice work anyway, can't wait to see the rest!

What's a bull? :P

yes, i know what you mean about the walls, but i was very careful in placing the walls, usually i place 2 characters or more in the unit, which will remove the one wall, and if i place 3 characters, will remove 2 walls, so mostly its for show.

i love the giant in the unit, and am currently trying to see what i can do with my Gnoblars as a unit filler.

Love the hordes and unit integrated Giant. Not so keen on piedestal Leadbelchers and walls in units.

One of my Gnoblar fillers is a Pump Wagon, I'm rather happy with how that one turned out, there's a picture of it in my gnoblog.

And as an aside, my Ogres call themselves the RED Bulls so it's a bit funny to find BLUE Bulls here as well.
