Odd Yhetee sketch

original thread ↗

Here's something I found while I was browsing the new Ork concept sketches on a website selling sketches by Paul Jeacocks, who also did a lot of the concept art for the Ogre book.

To me it seems very much like a not-so-frosty yhetee, though the gauntlet or whatever it has on its left had is very odd as yhetees don't normally use equipment.

Abandoned concept, maybe?

I like the fact that he looks a lot meaner than the ones that were actually created... Don't know about the ironfist/gountlet he's got, but the pose is just a tad more dynamic that what has been done on the minis.
thanx for posting.
cheers

damn!

thats cool.

They do mention that the yhetee's were once the ogre's brothers...maybe this was a concept to make them a little closer to that ideal...

still a cool picture!
It looks so much better than the models... *sobs*

See, now that looks badass.

Reminds me of an old NES game where you where a werewolf that could turn its arms into blades.
The Blood I Bleed is Black Indeed - High on Fire
I remember that game, what was it called again?

now thats a yhetti. why couldnt GW make theres look that good.
Really nice sketch, pity they didn't follow it more closely...

To me, he looks exactly the same "style" as the Yhetti drawing I saw before.  Maybe he stole that gauntlet thing ;)
Two things I noticed when I looked at the pic

#1 Thats not a gauntlet....his hand has been removed and a metal cap with blades attached

#2 He is trailing a length of chain

Now these two thing together lead me to believe he was a captured yhetti that was placed in the ring for pit fighting.
I think it's a lot like the chaos marauders; if only the models looked like the art the models would sell like hot cakes.

If by RAW, you mean "Reg06's Audacious Whims", then you'd be right.

hey now....the models as they are now aren't so bad!
well... that's a matter of opinion lol.  Unfortunately, I think the majority of people's Yehtti opinions are those of completel disgust.  At least that's how it looks.
:(
Yhetees have their place against some armys but I don'r really care about them. But the art work is cool.
wow! that rocks!! if you have time, maibe you can try to make a drawing of pirate orcs. that you can come in da unoffical piratre army book, or maibe even on the cover if i see your drawing skills.

(maibe our pirate project is gonna be in the WD :D)
i think the lower part of the body is wimpy
Update: The picture is actually from the cover of the Mordheim supplement: "Empire in Flames" and has actually nothing to do with ogres. The resemblance is uncanny, though...
