Darkritual Goes Ogre's!

Hi all,

When i saw the new ogre kingdoms i could not resist of making an army of them!
Ordered a ironblaser the book and a stonehoof/thundertusk.

After trolling this forum abit and looking at all the cool army's here i was thinking about sharing mine aswel

So far i started working on the iron blaser some wip pics below

The theme is going to be a chaos ogre's with lots of conversion and scuplts in it!
Well enough chattering and lets go on to the pics!

U mean a scaly green wash?

Yeah.. Something like that.. a nice little wash to show its been out in the elements..
A little bit of bluing on the barrel to show the effects of the heat expansion when fired..
Maybe some blacking around the mouth of the barrel..

It looks very good. Well done.
However, it doesn't feel like a chaos ogre device. I can definitely pick out the extra touches, but the model is so busy already those get lost. Larger conversions, and/or a different paint scheme will really make it shout "I'm a chaos ogre!"

Gave it some more old look on the barrel!

I kinda agree on the chaosy part! the chaos bits dont come out much since the model indeed has so much detail on it...
The chaos theme idea came when the model was about 70% done so only gave it some extra chaos bits since i didnt want to redo the hole model.
Was thinking about making the cannon like a hell cannon u know with all the skulls and faces in the barrel but its kinda to late for that now.... i might buy another one and make it like that in the future

Ok small update!

Bought a box of bulls today and a box mournfang cav.

Working on the mournefang atm and sculpting helmets on the beasts and armour plating on the front legs!

I have to tear you apart on the battlefield, because with painting points, you are quite ahead.

They look great mate.
They look far better then your chaos army and that was already good.

Is your talent for sale? Can I buy your fine motor skills? I love your work thus far and will be watching your gnoblog with keen anticipation.... Awesome ! The chaos theme is a good one. It also fits into the Ogre Kingdoms through that bit of fluff about chaos ogres.

Started to paint the first mournfang here are the WIP pics so far:



And i started to scult a bit on an ogre.... dont know yett if im going to make the hole army like this or just keep it small and simple on the troops and make this one my butcher/SM....

It will look awesome if you make the entire army mutated like that. And isn't awesome what's really important?
The mournfang looks good by the way. The color scheme really sells the chaos affiliation.

Annyway i finished the 1st mournfang!

For me, this is the perfect sort of chaos ogre. I'm of course impressed by super heavily converted ogres that are barely recognizable, but ogres are tough and resistant to the effects of mutation. They should be lightly mutated, with chaos gubbinz.
