PLOG of Doom!!

original thread ↗

I have never done a painting log before, but seeing all of the sheer awesome work on this website I thought I would set up my own little corner of Cyberspace, to keep track of what I am up to!
This PLOG will contain a multituce of different things ( I get bored quite easily lol) but mainly my current progress on my ogre army. Inspired by the log of The Big Hats by bas_2312 I thought I would do my own Chaos Dwarf Ogre(Hence forth known as Chadogres :P) army as bas_2312 did an amazing job and combining my two favorite fantasy armys is sheer genious!!
In November me and my friend Jon are going to the fantasy doubles at Warhammer World in Nottingham, and some how he has managed to rope me into painting most of his army for him as well (damn him lol), so you will be seeing quite alot of his WoC as well.
Thanks for listening to me Ramble on, pictures soon I promise!!
I found some photos of things I have been working on so I thought I would share them with you fine people!
First up are the WIPs of some chaos trolls I am Green stuffing/ Painting for Jon's half of our doubles army:

Let me know what you guys think, as I have not been doing the hobby for long and would like to get some Critique!

Thanks for looking.
Very cool conversions! The pink scales look great. On the yellow areas, the highlights seem to be placed facing downwards, were there would be shadows, you might want to move them to face the sun. But the greenstuffing is really nice!
It was a terrible, indescribable thing vaster than any subway train—a shapeless congeries of protoplasmic bubbles, faintly self-luminous, and with myriads of temporary eyes forming and un-forming as pustules of greenish light all over the tunnel-filling front that bore down upon us, crushing the frantic penguins and slithering over the glistening floor that it and its kind had swept so evilly free of all litter.

I like these. The GS could use a bit of smoothing as I can see some fingerprints and rough edges. The teeth on the second troll look more fleshy than pokey? Perhaps that was the intent.

The gs is a bit rough in areas. But, the trolls look good, and are pretty well painted. Mostly importantly they look very flavorful, and oldschool.

the bright colors look good on the creative conversions, but as Reg06 and Randriod said, the greenstuffings are a bit rough.

I love the overall idea of them!

thanks guys, i have only been in the hobby for about 6 months and these are the first things i have ever greenstuffed aof days nd I am really pleased on how they turned out.
I should have the next ones painted in the next couple of days and I should hopefully get some pictures up soon.
I have a question though I am really struggling to smooth out the greenstuff with the GW sculpting tool, and I am using water as 'lube' but is there anything else I can do to make it easier.
Let the gs firm up a bit before going to smooth it out. It'll take a bit more work to smooth, but since it won't be so droopy it'll take shape better.

You can also sand it once it has hardened up, just be sure to use a fine grit.
