Monday night after release day, and I have most of my 2400 list assembled. So far I have built:

12 Bulls
4 Leadbelchers
12 Ironguts
1 Thundertusk
3 Mournfang Cav

I have the two characters left to build and another Thundertusk for my list to be complete

On the pile of stuff I have 2 more Stornhorn, Yheti, 2 Scrap launchers, another Tyrant, a Firebelly, and Bragg that are in need of attention. I'm also getting a selection of maneaters in a few weeks when I get the rest of this stuff built.

I'll post up some  pictures when I get some stuff painted.

It begins! This is just the start of the test mini. There are 6 colors on him right now and there is a plan of around 4 more. That was 20 minutes worth of work. 2 basecoats on the skin for coverage, a highlight and a wash. 2 basecoats on the pants and a highlight followed by a wash and I'm changing the boot color to black as well as his belt. The metal is a mixture that I came up with a LONG time ago and needs 2 more colors and a finish of a blood mix I got from a friend that looks promising.
A good start, nice skin.

After more work here is the army. I worked my butt off this weekend to get this assembled. Now to start paint. As you can see I already have the display board cut as well. Now I have to decide if I want to add some tiers to it like it was a mountain platue that the ogres made camp... Decisions Decisions.

thats a realy good looking force, the skin has worksed out well too. for the boots i did mine in a scorched brown with badab wash then a highlight with s brown and a little snake, worked out well
Today I worked on my Hordes list for a tournament tomorrow. I had to paint the Warpwolf Stalker and Laris today to be ready for the games. There isn't a painting requirement but I wanted everything painted...

hope you guys like em

My Champion for the first unit is done. I'm very happy with the way he turned out. THe basing is good the skin is good, all thats left is the rest of the unit!
I got the banner bearer converted

nice idea for the banner!

but is that really the way the mace came out of the box, when you bought the tyrant! cause it really needs some straightening in warm water!

BOOM!! hur hur hur!
He is holding a snake! :P Cool banner though. I like the skin on your ogres as well, but if you brightened up his pants a tad I think the model would look better overall. I can see that the pants are nicely painted, but when lined up in a unit they might disappear behind all those dark metals.

Great looking Circle stuff as well.  :)
It was a terrible, indescribable thing vaster than any subway train—a shapeless congeries of protoplasmic bubbles, faintly self-luminous, and with myriads of temporary eyes forming and un-forming as pustules of greenish light all over the tunnel-filling front that bore down upon us, crushing the frantic penguins and slithering over the glistening floor that it and its kind had swept so evilly free of all litter.

To say that I hate the heads that came with the Slaughtermaster kit is an understatement. I took the fattest head I could find on the ogre spru and did a bit of..... greenstuffing.... I hate that crap..... Here he is now.

Got some flesh done.
I did a bit of work to the Slaughtermaster today. I was listening to the new Garagehammer episode and was in the mood to paint.

I also go another coat on the ogres. I got their paints basecoated.
Nice progress thus far- good and grimy.

If by RAW, you mean "Reg06's Audacious Whims", then you'd be right.

Slaughtermaster is done

Some more work to the Ogres. They aren't finished yet but they are coming along. I have to base most of em and do a few details up on the Standard Bearer.

i always try and avoid putting plastic heads on characters simply for the fact that you will eventually use them for your regiments aswell. so now he doesnt stand out a lot anymore

He does stand out. He's taller, fatter, and the heads that come with the kit look stupid...... Its paint that makes the model not the head.
Nice work on those ogre's!

Nice work on those ogre's!
Thanks I'm pretty happy with em. The rest of this batch should be done sometime this weekend and then I'll start on the rest of the unit. I do want to give that firebelly a shot. The flame is callin me askin to be painted!
5 Rank and file done.

Good work, looks like you will have an army painted in no time at all!

The bellower head looks very nice on the butcher body in my opinion.

I've signed up for my first GT today with the Ogres. Looks like 2k special characters are allowed. My list is 27 models..... I have 7 already painted.... Think I can get 20 models painted in 3 months?

I started on my Objective marker for the tournament today. I decided that a Butcher needs somewhere to cook so my marker will be a Cauldron. I searched the internet for one and found nothing..... so I made one from greenstuff!

I'll throw some legs and heads into it when it dries. I need a man of intrigue also so I searched and searched and found one thats VERY inappropriate. I wont post the picture up here and when I finish the model I can only take a picture from one angle... I'm excited about this army. Its the first time in quite a while I can say that.

Pictures to come in a few days of more finished models.

Unit Standard Done

Here's a picture of the unit so far. I think it's hysterical that I have 6 models painted and have 66% of the unit painted!

This army is going to paint up FAST!

Two thirds is 66,666…%, mind you!

 ;)

Looks good! The banner design is very clean, well done!

Unit done for 2k list!
I dig the banner on the BSB, as well as the freehand on the unit banner. Looks good!
Things happen, people die... usually when I'm around.
Made an objective marker for a tournament coming up in January

Workin on my BSB a bit today.. not done but coming along nicely

I'm now 9/3/0 with the Ogres and am really enjoying the army. I assembled another model today. Got a stonehorn together. That thing is nasty on the charge!
BSB is done.

Mournfang are in progress

Here is a much better picture of the BSB

More work on the mournfang

Looking great!  Nice work on the cauldron, new head on the butcher works well as well.

I think I preferred the blue banner, though will hold final judgement until I see it alongside the army.

Here is the rest of the first unit. They should be done tonight or tomorrow.
I worked on my Ogres this past week. I finished off the unit of Bulls, Updated the flesh on the Giant as well as based him to match the army, fixed some stuff on the BSB and the Slaughtermaster, and them fixed some of the bases..

I'm going to be starting on my Ironguts here in the next few weeks. I wanna get all the core done. I think I'm going to buy another Battalion too. I'll post up progress pictures as I get em.
looking mighty sharp! love the giant, blends in perfectly.

Cheers
basecoating these with a brush is taking too long. I think tomorrow I'm going to go get some more paint and mix it up for the airbrush. I'd be willing to bet it'll take a few hours off my time.

Tomorrow is another day.....
