Fellow Ogres. All I can say is so far all the bits I have found are fullly compatable with older bodies. And there are plenty extra in the cav kit to outfit a couple ME's or whatever suites your fancy. Haven't even gotten into the stone/thundertusk kit....

Excellent!
They looked like they might be compatible from the sprue pics but it's good to have it confirmed, thanks!

Good news! I was hoping to get a couple more Ironguts or maybe a custom Maneater from those. Heck, maybe I'll make a butcher with an Ironfist.

So far my plastic Tyrant looks to have the Ironblaster Ogre body, the Mournfang champ. head, a Mournfang great weapon and a BIRD. The other bits I'll take as they come.
I don't suffer from mental instability. In fact, I enjoy it immensely.
Gutlord Inquisitor: FORUM FIGHT! Me, I'm betting on the stronghold. Sure, they're outnumbered with thick skulls, stubborn bull-headedness and an inflated sense of self-worth, but hey, they're Ogres.

It all indeed looks great and fits very well, making it a very nice range with plenty of options.
The mounted Ogres from both sets have seperate legs which can be swapped if you want more diversity (like using the fur lined boots from the Thundertusk set for your Mournfang unit Champion)
I also tried the GW from the Mournfang set arms on an infantry model to make variant Irongut models and it works out fine.
The Orge on the Ironblaster is the same size as any other plastic one. So also (as far as I've tried) all parts can be used on him, making the spare ones you have very usable for plastic characters etc.
The bag with ammo that he has slung around his upper body are loose parts without anything on the ogre itself.

Good news as I am planning to make an army entirely out of the new models. How do you think the Mournfang Riders would stand up on their own, literally, I want to use them as Irongut core troops and the mount as Sabertusks.

Chuck Norris was the fourth wise man and gave Jesus his favorite gift, a beard. The other wise men were so hacked off, they got Chuck Norris removed from the bible. Mysteriously, they all later died of Roundhouse kick related injuries.

The mounts are way to big to fit on a cav base. You have legs sticking over the edges. And the way the ogre legs fit on the upper bodies..kinda splayed apart.....well..let's just say they would look like the were dropping a load.....

Indeed, and the legs have no detailing on the inside. They're rather flat there to fit on the mounts.
Besides the way they make your whole regiment look like they.. well just what Kobahl said
