Here by Ogres. (Building and Painting a 2000 point Ogre Army)

original thread ↗

Hi folks

With the launch of the new Ogre's book I've decided its now a perfect chance to reach one of my lifetime goals. to finally have a fully painted Warhammer Fantasy army. I've got bits and pieces of lots of different armies kicking around but nothing actually finished. I've thumbed through the book and like the way GW have gone with the new skintone of the Ogres. With that in mind I thought I'd have a go myself. So far I've built a couple of bulls to give my rusty painting skills a refresher. Below is my first attempt. Its still very much WIP and I never knew how hard working from a white undercoat would be. Black must hide so many missing areas. Anyway enjoy the pic and hopefully this blog will continue and help keep me motivated to finish an army. If you guys have any comments or can offer any advice I'd love to hear it

Erik

Welcome to the Stronghold erik.
First thing I see are those moldlines- they have to go. The painting looks solid so far though. Is the skin finished?
Also, the base is very boring. Some dead grass colored static grass would really help, or a few larger rocks to break it up.

If by RAW, you mean "Reg06's Audacious Whims", then you'd be right.
