Hail , Fat Brothers.
I thought about mounting all the Ogre minis I have before startint my Gnoblog , but cleaning mould lines and filling gaps is a very tedious but very important job. I´d better mount a unit at a time and paint it, or at least mount some minis so I have always primed minis awaiting for me..
I would like to paint a 2k-2,5k force out of the boxes, excepting some bits changing, as I love the current Ogre range of minis and modelling is difficult for me.
The background is a mountain tribe, and I will use a cold look, using blues, purples, cold reds. I will use a lot of blood splashes too, as a contrast with the cold environment. Red tattoos mainly in shoulders will appear commonly.
I have a problem with the bases: I honestly do not know how to paint them, so I let you here some horrific pics of my first test mini.
When I finish him and 5 more I will take proper pics (I hope).
I wanted some originality, so I won´t use any gold (warm colour) and all the guts will be painted in a blue-turquoise selfmade colour, inspired by some recent new pic..
I expect to paint next ones a little better, as this one is a test one, and its painting was fast. I used and airbrush for the skin, gut and trousers...I think I could paint these fat guys really fast if I use my own mixed paint pots and this hellish airbrush machine. Anyway with better pics you should see many more highlights, tones, etc.
So please excuse my poor english for the next years (
) and please tell me what you think about the bases.
