Ogre Kingdoms Up On GW's Website

original thread ↗

Games Workshop have just updated their website with the upcoming Ogre Kingdoms releases - go take a look!

"Might makes Right! The Ogre Kingdoms are here!"

Additionally, here's the cover of the new issue of White Dwarf (which apparently contains the rules for Stonehorns and Thundertusks):

Magic cards, book and beasties ordered! My gut grows bigger but my wallet shrinks...
Gnoblar big game trophy rack:
Manticore        Lord of Change    Beastlord
Chaos Lord     Warsphinx            Bray Shaman
How about that Finecast stuff? I'm intrigued by the new characters. Was hoping for a new yhettee sculpt but I knew that was a long shot.
This is Wiki, the pet gnoblar. Say hello, Wiki.
Book and cards have just been ordered
There goes $300,

I need a counting gnoblar :packgnoblar:
Current win streak: 10

Things Fluffy has flattened: Ancient Stegadon, Unit of 5 Chariots with Tomb king, Chaos Lord, Herald of Khorne on Jugger,

Just noticed they've got new "Getting Started" pages up for Ogre Kingdoms now too:

It's payday... Games Workshop released the pre-order stuff... Could this be fate? Or just bad luck?... :P
Ordered the book, cards, and the cannon/launcher kit to replace my terrible launcher. No doubt this is only the prelude to getting such beauties as the firebelly and that mammoth, but  a good way to calm my hunger for now.

Also, launches day after my birthday, how wonderful, happy birthday to me!  :maw:
♫♪ Whooaa, here she comes, she's a maneater ♫♫♪

Dear lord....

BAD....
I don't suffer from mental instability. In fact, I enjoy it immensely.

Gutlord Inquisitor: FORUM FIGHT! Me, I'm betting on the stronghold. Sure, they're outnumbered with thick skulls, stubborn bull-headedness and an inflated sense of self-worth, but hey, they're Ogres.
Damn, I was hoping we would maybe get a box of 2-3 maneaters.  Looks like I'll just have to be happy with the single ones :|

Other than that, it all looks really awesome.  Gonna get me some Big Stompas soon! :D
There is only news.  There is no good or bad.
I have never been so happy   I don't know how to react.
By going on an ogre smashing spree and wreck the house or just cry out of happiness like a pitiful gnoblar who has trapped his first man in his huge bear trap.
What a time to come back to this forum!

Been awhile since I've touched my Ogres and just when I was thinking of checking out another army to start i revisit this awesome website and see this news...

Must be fate... Now where is my Mastercard hiding ;)

Hello all you ogre experts! I have missed you and this awesome website ^^

Great time to restart my ogre army! I played 2-3 years ago (when the ogres just came).
I Had a gnoblog( http://www.ogrestronghold.com/forum/index.php?topic=9610.0 ) with images of my army, but all the images i linked have been removed (the server hostname have changed) so I'm gonna start a new one with my progress. All my ogres are converted to make them (more or less) unique. I got iron guts with spears (or lances in human eyes), 2 custom made butchers and 3 maneaters made from bulls (bad ass hammer, assassin, "roman" ogre), and more.

These new models are awesome!

I got a bit sad though, i thought the army book got released today, so I called my local shop and got some bad news. Have to wait a whole week :(

Another annoying thing, a bough the lizardmen battalion two days before a heard the rumor about a new ogre book(and new models). So i now have two armies to paint and learn to play (I guess the rules and tactics for ogres are changing quite a bit.

Glad to be back. Peace
/ Hampus

managed to get an early copy of the White Dwarf due to impending hurricane, battle report was rather disappointing (as always) but the inclusion of the rules for both of the big gribblies was a nice surprise  :D

The answer to everything is sabretusks.  There is no problem that can't be solved at least in part with kitties.

Well, I now officially like everything.  No more excuses, it's all pretty damn awesome.
My only remaining complaints are these:
Mournfangs' fangs are still ridiculous.  I still don't know (despite all the theories) what the giant metal-looking things on the sides of the Thundertusk's head are.  The firebelly is nowhere near fat enough.  It is all so very detailed that, for somebody who doesn't enjoy painting nearly as much as the rest of the hobby (like me), getting the models finished is going to be an epic grueling task.
Paint your gnoblars blue!
still on the fence about the mournfangs, I'm not too crazy about the mournfangs themselves but the bits and hopefully their rules will help make up for that
Haha, Ogres ordered from Wayland Games, saved so much I could afford a second Stonehorn!
I miss the Tenderiser...
I used to be called "Ghlezgar", if you want to know.

I know what you mean, yesterday was my birthday and my payday as well... so I bought 260 dollars worth of stuff.  I was going to invest part of that into battle foam, but I guess that will have to wait. lol

The limit of 5 fine cast models at a time on the GW Webstore is saving my pocket some I think.  :)

i will be ordering some essentials shortly, tho i feel massivley ripped off that they are just putting old figs into fine cast and charging tons of cash for them. i will be buying them but am also going to buy from wayland games or do a deal with one of the independants

Word! ;)
I haven't been this sad since I don't know when. I can't even afford the book! I looked at the models, and I want to spend $300 but can't even spend $22! :( :( :( :(
In Quantum Physics they say that you can be in two places at once. if that is the case, then where the HELL ELSE AM I?
Book and card ordered.

Going to buy the models i want from another supplier for 25% discount still going to cost me a lot though
Is it just me or is £36 each for Greasus and Scragg completely ridiculous. They are basically glorified single miniatures but cost same as the Stonehorn!!! plus the Black Dragon and Warsphinx are Cheaper!!! Really not sure about GW pricing policy sometimes
Awesome! Not long now!!! I can hardly wait!....Although I suppose this means I will have to get a job. Lol.
Since my tribe is the mountaineaters I suppose I should get a stonehorn but the rules for the thundertusk sound a lot cooler.
"Ogres have been described by scholars as mentally, "thick as two short planks."
They have also been described as having enough intelligence
to nail the planks together and beat the observer to a bloody pulp."
The WD comes one month in a rears here, so if anyone has the WD rules for the TT and SH and is willing to scan and email it to me, I would appreciate it. Just PM me and I will send my email addy. Thanks

Indeed. No cheep options

Convert a Manteater? Convert an Irongut? Use the spare Ogre from the Ironblaster if you make a Scraplauncher? There are a lot of 'cheap' options if you scout around a bit. Try the Alternative Ogre Mega-thread for some inspiration!

Yeah...still funny though..:P

You know. as she only comes out at night, does that mean she's a member of the Moonbiter Tribe?....

I'll get me coat.......
I got my order in from GW today, can I get a hellas yeah!!

The book looks rocking, and oh my there were some easter eggs left unsaid everywhere I read that make me really happy.  Ogres no longer have a single good way to be played imo, there is a lot of depth to Ogres now.  I just do not know where to start, I got the Fire Belly, Stonehorn/Tundertusk, One Mournhorn Cavalry box, two Ironblaster/Scrappy boxes, and the rule book of course.

This might not seem like much to people who do not play Ogres, but the blood stains in the book that are in color mean a lot to me.  It shows someone who understands Ogres, and cares had input into this book imo.
