Hello Stronghold! First I would like to introduce myself: I have been playing Ogres (and, indeed Fantasy) since the 8th edition. I am a long time lurker, and with the new Ogre book coming, it seems that now is the right time to join.

Anyway, on with the show. I have about 3000 pts of Ogres, and to start the ball rolling ill show you the painted stuff.

This is my first unit of Bulls. They are actualy a horde (24 in total) but these are the only ones that are fully painted. In the game, this unit has been a terror at my local club: I have only lost it once (and that was before I put a BSB in the unit).

Another shot!

This is a close up of the crusher.

The back of one of the bulls. Its hard to see on the other photos, but they all have freehand tattoos/warpaint.

Ironguts!

Standard bearer (Sorry for the lopisided pic).

Tyrant Kurgath Elfcrusher. He is based on the Avatars of War Ogre, with an Irongut head.

Gorger. This is a forge world plauge ogryn, with some alterations.

The list I have been using (mostly succesfuly) recently is the following:

Tyrant: Tenderiser, armour of 4+ ward
Slaughtermaster: 4+ ward talisman, crown of command, channeling staff.
BSB: Runemaw, mawseeker, cathayan longsword.

These all go inside: 21 ogre bulls, with full command.

12 ironguts

Bull rhinox rider, heavy armour, ironfist.

60 gnoblars

This is roughly 2400. Not exactly, as I tend to play around with the list from time to time. I have used this list very sucessfuly in the past, winning most of the games at my local club: last game I faced an army containing 2 aracnarocs (sp?), and I ended up killing both! (and everything else).

Hope you like the minis, C&C welcome!
Good colours and good painting. Looking forward to seeing more of your army.

WOw o.0 ! Stunning army so far! :D i love the choice of colours and the skin tone is awesome. I also like the fact that they carry all sort of trophies from other armies. Great stuff! :D

Really impressive work.
That snow is awful though. Which isn't your fault, it's just a lame product. It looks like mold growing on your bases. You be well served by putting in some time looking for a better product (Secret Weapon Miniatures does incredible snow), or creating one yourself.

If by RAW, you mean "Reg06's Audacious Whims", then you'd be right.

The snow looks bad on the tyrant and the other closeups, but Ive found if you layer it enough it looks better (see the bulls at the top). I may try putting some in a blender so it looks less like white static grass (Messy!).

Actualy, just checked, Im running out of the white static grass anyway, so I'll get some of the secret weapon stuff as a replacment.

Anyway, on with the show:

The bulls movement tray. This is actualy made out of wood, textured with filler and sand.

Scrapalauncher: made with artillery battery, rhinox and an O&G chariot. Paintjob strictly WIP.

Forge world Rhinox Rider.

I always like to see a well painted Rhinox but your unrotated pictures are starting to hurt my neck.
