The Snow Face Tribe

The first lot of miniatures that caught my eye were Ogre Kingdoms.  I thought that by starting off with an army that had fewer models and were larger and therefore easier to paint, would make it a good introduction into the hobby.  I liked the idea that during the 7th edition rules Ogres were the lowest of the low when it came to power-gaming.  I thought that if I wanted to be good at the game it would be in my best interest to learn with one of the most difficult armies to win with.  If I could be good with Ogres I could be good with any of the armies.  These were among the first models I ever painted.  I thought I did a pretty good job, but now as I look at them and await the new Ogre models in September, I am anxious to redo some of the painting and converting work.

These were all put together and painted around two years ago.  The Stronghold had a huge driving influence in my purchase and love of Ogres.  It's only fair that I show you guys what you all partially inspired me to do.

My painting skills were awful two years ago, and I've only improved by a little bit.  Nonetheless I'm pleased with the overall look of the army.

I also like the look of the army- it looks rough and barbaric.
I'm sure you know what painting skills you need to brush up on (especially if you hang out at Blue Table Painting), but your metals look good. One thing I often see with rusty metals is that the rust looks too nice, but yours doesn't. You painted the metals very well, and made them look rough and beaten and rusty.
