Great Jaguar Tribe

original thread ↗

So. This is the start of my Gnoblog. I'm starting to finish painting and converting my models, so Expect some pics....sometime? haha. I'm about to start painting the pants of my ogres like different kinds of big cats (lions, tigers, jaguars), zebras, giraffes, etc. etc. Anyone have any tips for moi as i start painting these bad boys? I already plan on different units having different pants colors. The Tyrant, Trollgre, will have pants made from all sorts of animals (like the giant model). I'm excited :D

good luck with the project.

If by RAW, you mean "Reg06's Audacious Whims", then you'd be right.

Here are pictures of (in order):

- Bruiser/Maneater
- Bruiser (he'll be getting a double leadbelcher jetpack soon)
- Ninja Hunter w/Cannon
- view of the putty work for the Ninja Hunter's arm

Thoughts? oh, and that's me in the background...so ignore that, haha

Here's the pictures of they MASSIVE tyrant I've been working on for most of today. He stands (from base to top of tusk) about 6-8 inches tall. I went for a leaner, crueler looking Tyrant that just takes trophies and fetishes from everything he kills, including the whole Black Dragon. He's still not done, but this is what i've gotten done so far. Thoughts? :)

Also, sorry bout the picture quality, I only had my phone to use, and it turns them sideways :/

A whole dragon trophy! I expect that's going to look mightily impressive on the table when it's done - looking good so far!
Thanks Hragged :) I'm extremely excited about it :D

Nice idea of using the dragon as a trophy, never would have thought of that.

Here's the Tyrant beefed up some, along with the top of tusk. He's coming together quite magnificently :D I've also decided to try to enter him into some painting competitions, so keep an eye out in the upcoming months :D

oh, and thanks Goretooh :D I didn't think of it either until I saw how it was positioned and thought "hhmmmm....that looks like it could easily fit on a big Ogre Tyrant's trophy tusks...*Lightbulb* BRILLIANT!"
Hurr Hurr Hurr
am looking foreward to seeing those minins finished and painted. good luck with the project

Update: Tyrant has been built up with more greenstuff muscles and finally has shoes. Sorry there's no pic yet, apparently the file is too large >.<

Is he wearing that dragon like a boa?  Amazing.

Latest work on the Tyrant. With the upcoming release of the new ogre models I've decided a few things:

- My mournfang cav are all going to look like big cat predators (Male Lion, Tiger, Jaguar, etc etc). The Male lion will be the Crusher's mount. Also, all of them will have huge spears and Ironfists. I liek the idea of a 2+ armor save :P

- I'm going to use the GW bitz from the Mournfang sprue to make some awesome looking Ironguts

- I'm going to model the Stonehorn like he is getting ready to headbutt the life out of someone. He'll be up on his hindlegs with his neck sideways like a Mountain Ram (i saw it on the Discovery Channel once)

- I'm going to build the ironblaster with the Kislev King's Bear as the creature pulling it.

- Build a Firebelly with animal skins and such around him (Lore of beasts)

- All spellcasters will be painted like aboriginals (white paint over their bodies using a stippling effect).

- I'm going to build my BSB from the pirate maneater and Golgfag's big Maw banner (gunna cut off the anchor, take some brass rod, plant the Maw on top, and adorn with other trophies).

This is all going to happen long after I move though, so I'll do my best to keep everyone updated. Let me know what you think :D

Here is a sketch of what i'll be working on next: slavegiant :D

I hope you can make an appropriately killy tyrant with the new book, otherwise that will be a disappointingly huge mini.

Yeah, I'm afraid he might be too tall, and get cannonballed to death. I think he'll get the giantbreaker big name, Armor of destiny, GW, and...something else, haha
