The Orkers of Zugzug Coast

original thread ↗

Hello my name is Gman.

Being an avid fan of greenskins and all their kind for nearly 7 years now I found myself attracted to ogres with their violent brutal ways and their small gnoblar underlings. Something stood out about these mountain monstrosities that I loved and it was quite simple...MIGHT MAKES RIGHT! From the lowliest toe picker gnoblar and snotling to the most brutal warboss or tyrant this natural law stays in check in a beautiful and bloody way.

So I thought how could I combine two such awesome armies that were quite different, from the swirling masses of gobbos and orcs to the hulking ogre bulls and ironguts that hark at all the thinlings. I've started ogres only recently, within the last four months, and have been slowly buying the odd box here and their to satisfy myself.

This army I hope will not offend anyone but simply put will be monstrous greenskins, the tenacity of the average orc along with the awesome bulk of the average bull. I hope to follow this post with some background fluff and then pics of the actual models. Hope you enjoy  :>P
Have you checked out nightmare's Tribe of the Dragon Mountain? Or the 6th issue of the Bellower? In those you will find most excellent examples of ogre sized orcs.
I'll be waiting to see what you do with this.

If by RAW, you mean "Reg06's Audacious Whims", then you'd be right.

Simply put...stunned.
I saw nightmare's Tribe of Dragon Mountain awhile ago on a different site but damn they are awesome and the new overhaul recently looks great.
That's a pretty reasonable (and common) reaction.

Loving the feral look of hunters and the concept of a warhorse size feline I bought a hunter and started work. It took hours to remove the head and the beard is a simple GS sculpting. Ol' Red Zag is by far my favourite model in OK to date   :D

Looks like a damn good start. And hey, more big fat orcs! Can't wait to see what you'll come up with for the rest of the army. Feel free to swipe ideas from me, I most certainly will from you if I see something awesome.  :P
Honoured indeed Nightmare  :)
So this model was my first forgeworld order and I have never regretted it. Ulog riding Krumpa with his helpfull gnoblars called Clubbit and Itch  :>P

And Shere, one of Red Zag's sabretusks

PLEASE tell me that the other is named Khan.... ;)

Metaphorgotten: A metaphor is a train, a high speed train that takes you from concept A to B, easily derails and serves overpriced sandwiches.
Yep, here is Khan  8)

Nice work, I'm quite keen on the striped look of the Sabretusks.
Hello. I've been on holiday and now I'm back with some updates of my own :)

This is the beach brigade and my first unit of gnoblars. I'm hoping to expand this unit to about a hundred or so..with time  :>P
The mob hopefully will go with my pirate orker leadbelchers

and this unfortunate gnoblar will be known as Gurgle

Now my fav unit as they have turned rat ogres to mulch or the Lucky Buggers, the pirate orker leadbelchers

and all together...

This unit is my attempt to make a irongut/black orc unit. 'Ard as nails!  :D

Unfortunately the top of the banner was broken in transport  and the bellower is being convertered at the moment.

Hmm....I hope its alright if I post some of my OnGs here aswell since both of the armies match each other
p.s. I apologise to anyone who has arachnophobia

just a bit of fishing line and glue made this lil critter

And the Queen herself
The gnoblar unit is fantastic. Your free hand water is very impressive.
The wood bases are also fantastic. Greenstuff?
And I really like the arachnarok. The eyes are especially well done.

Thank you for the complement  :D

The wooden bases were strips of plastic planks I bought from a modelling store and I hacked at with a craft knife  :)
They came engraved with the wood texture?

Yes, they're used for train platforms and decking
I'M BACK!

I've finally managed to put some time aside and managed to expand and conquer  :)

Enough of me, now back to the Warhammer  :D

I can say without a doubt I am a fan of food, sure I'll eat just about anything but I know good food when I eat/kill it.

Da Chef

I thought of playing a Storm of Magic game a while back but the plan never came to fruition however I still couldn't resist buying another beasty that tied in with the Lustrian land of Zugzug coast.
Captured by the orkers this beast fights devours their foes..and any gnoblar that gets to near.

Da Red Terror

p.s. I respect anyone that had to deal with the carnosaur model before finecaste, this was outright horrid to assemble and clean. Finescrap it was but I don't care I like it now  :>)
And the bad tempered, foul smelling brute of a brick wall that has cracked enough heads to lead this rabble of monstrosities, Tyrant Jubjub
