40K nurgle force needs finishing

original thread ↗

Why hello there fellow stronghold members,
I left home last year to attend university and when i arrived i soon joined in with the local GW's winter of war campaign and to do so, started a new army. This i decided was going to be a nurgle force as after playing nids for a few years i decided i wanted a change from an army with very little chance of standing up to a gun line to one which is hard to take down no matter how many regular weapons are fired.
I ended up collecting about 2000 points over the course of my time at uni and got most of the infantry painted up to a standard which i was happy with minus a few finishing touches here and there.
Here they are, 4 units of 7 each with a champ with fist and various special weapons.

And a unit of 6 terminators to go along with Typhus (or Typhail as he was known due to the large number of times he managed to kill himself)

however after this point is where the issues arose, please bear in mind after this point that i have at no point been shown how to paint or taught any techniques, once the infantry were done, which i coped with as it is not too far from painting the nids and my ogres, i moved onto the vehicles which i have had no experience of.
I managed to paint the dreadnought  fairly well due to the lack of large plain surfaces

and when i encountered these i didn't know how to proceed and ground to a halt.

However now im back home with my old friends and gaming group we have an apocalypse game planned in about a month and everything must be painted so need to get cracking and break out the paint once again. Here is whats left to do.

And on top of this painting i am also scratch building a unit of 3 obliterators based off the chaos spawn kit and a load of bits, here is the first one

Awesome stuff, really looking forwards to the Obliterators! That's now given me an idea for cheaper ones, cheers!

Gnob.
I don't suffer from mental instability. In fact, I enjoy it immensely.

Gutlord Inquisitor: FORUM FIGHT! Me, I'm betting on the stronghold. Sure, they're outnumbered with thick skulls, stubborn bull-headedness and an inflated sense of self-worth, but hey, they're Ogres.
Right so I've decided to spend the evening watching a good film (Cloverfield) and make up another obliterator.
However due to the fact i have 2 boxes of spawn and have already built one for use in case i get gift of Chaos off and the other torso in the box was used on my Dread i have to find some way of completing the spare body i have. So far the plan is to use the chest from the daemon prince set, not only will this solve my problem but it would make the model look like a unit leader which matched the fluff that they travel around as their own warbands rather than follow a single commander.
Pictures should be up by the end of the night

Right so i've finished for the evening, im very happy with how he's turning out except from his right arm which still needs plenty of work, so here we go

And also, thanks very much Giant-tripper, im glad to have given you an idea
Right so i have been working today as well and think i've practically finished building the unit.
Here is the third member of the unit:

The arm joint has been fixed since this picture was taken but my camera has run out of battery

I have also changed the left arm on the first model i built due to it seeming too small;

And finally here is the whole group together

Again, please feel free to leave any comments you may have
