First list! 2k

original thread ↗

i have played (and lost) two games of fantasy (just starting) with my Ogres (lists were just slapped together)...one at 1k vs. Ogres where i could take -no- magic (was a close game though)...and one at 2k vs. Counts where the -terrain- was the "winner", effectively shutting down my charges and making the Scraplauncher and Leadies the only things that really did anything...still dont really know what im doing but at least (i think) i finaly made a legal list?....we shall see...

Tyrant w/ Thunder Mace, Slivered Steel Armor

BSB w/ Cathayan Sword, Rampagers Standard

Butcher w/ Cookbook, Blood Cleaver, (where does it mention upgrading a wizards level?)

x8 Bulls w/ Swords and Iron Fists, light armor, Standard, Bellower

x8 Ironguts w/ Bellower, Standard, Swiftness

x4 leadbelchers

x50 Gnoblars

x1 Scraplauncher

x1 Gorger

...thinking about putting the Tyrant in with the bulls to make them alittle more scarey...the BSB goes with the Guts to augment thier Swift standard with his Rampagers standard...should i run them im ranks of three or four?...four -seems- better for impact hits but is less maneuverable?...not sure about the Butcher either...i -am- just learning so im trying to experimant with all the diffrent units to fill my particular needs against the opponents i will be facing in my area...i -love- the idea of the Gorgers comming in from -any- table edge to cause havoc in the opponents backfield...seriously considering a Skrag list...

....anyhow...any tips?...suggestions?....tactical advice?...love to hear it!...will be running this list (or parts of it) this weekend for more practice, probly vs. Skaven...
okay, since your new im going to not be so harsh(and try to make sense)  :D

as far as Tyrant builds go, its really up to you and what you think he needs depending on your opponents/gaming group.

the bsb needs to be equipped defensively or at least have heavy armor.

the butcher seems fine.

the bull unit is fine.

the ironguts should have the runemaw banner(being able to send any magic off to the gnobbo unit if their in range on a 2+ is priceless, especially if you tryant is in that unit)
come to think of it, if you want a magic banner on your bsb give him the banner of enternal flames to deal with regen

i'd prefer a unit of 2 leadbelcher's(smaller footprint), but if you must take 4 give them a musician for the swift reform.

30-40 gnobbos is typically enough, they last just fine if close to the tyrant and bsb.

scrappie is awesome.

maybe take 2 gorgers if possible(only if you can spare the points and are facing a War Machine heavy list) to make sure at least one shows up ASAP.

hope that helps some.
thanks for the reply!...i shall take it to heart and make some adjustments...i can knock the leadies down to two and put another gorger in there...my opponent -will- be bringing warmachines...alittle mixing of some wargear and i should be ready...thanks again!  8)
