Thought I would try something, see if I can get a ball rolling... Post here pictures and links of models which would be great for Ogre Kingdoms armies, to keep ideas all in the one place!
I'm quite fond of the massive Otherworld Giant (he comes with different head options and his base isn't fixed to his feet so you can easily put him on a GW Giant base): http://www.otherworld.me.uk/gseries.html
Could make an awesome Tyrant with only a little greenstuff work on the gut. No idea about size but the base is way larger than their usual models and it is supposed to be a Giant, so might be a bit overkilly, but that's just the way I like it

This is the Fire Giant from reaper as well. Looks like a Tyrant that is good friends with some dwarfs.
Has anyone used this model before? Looks like it'd make a good chaos maneater with/without a couple of conversions. Seems a little large though, my rough estimate based on the ruler puts the top of the head at about 4.5 cm, and it's bulkier looking than a normal ogre, making it slightly larger scale than the average bull.
The Sumotori models from Urban Mammoth look pretty good too, they're on 40 mm round bases. Anyone knows how well they stack up next to normal ogres? Can't tell for sure but they look like they're of slightly thinner build.
The Dragon Blade too for that matter, great model but looks quite bulky to be squeezing onto a 40 mm base (the feet already look like they exceed the 50 mm base slightly) anyone used it previously? Maybe you can post up a comparison once you get yours, scotty wazza

I looked at the Sumotoi guys an figured they were a little too small but forget if I did any real measuring or not.
As a sneak of something I've just started working on I'm going to be converting a Tyrant with this as the base model:
He will be roughly 30% bigger than the normal Tyrant model and will involve a fair bit of GS work.

Beat you to it; I did mine from this guy a few months ago and havn't looked back. Due to the size of his Iron Fists on a standard 40mm base I have to use 4 Gnoblars next to him (2 on each side) as they take up the same size as a regular Bull, which is what I count them as for enemy attacks; they also remind me if he has any sword Gnoblars/ Luck Gnoblar.
Edit: Posted mine below; he is a fearsome brute!

I was tempted to add the original tusks (from the elephant head) to his Gut plate, but figured he wouldn't be able to get into B2B with anyone if he stuck out of the base that much!

The Gaspez model is for Blood Bowl. It's a little larger than the basic Ogre body but not by much. Among the larger Maneaters it would just look a little taller. Could make a good Gorger?

Thanks Komone You mean you had a look at the actual sumotori models, and they looked smaller scale? They just give me the impression that they're slightly shorter/thinner than normal ogres. It's a pity if they won't fit in well with normal ogres, would look great for Nippon maneaters.
Sorry Randroid, forgot you already posted the Gaspez model on page 1 Hmm was thinking the Gaspez model would make a good chaos maneater with a left hand weapon swap/head swap, but Gorger's an idea
Great tyrant, nice work! Mean and huge. Pity about the ranking up though. Now if your opponents allowed him (out of sheer badassery) to tank more B2B hits in place of the "bull" that's supposed to occupy the rest of the space, that'd be great
Hordes models-wise, Trollbloods don't look half bad too, if you overlook the fact that they're four-fingered/toed. Anyone who has ogres and trollbloods know how well they scale next to each other?
This looks like it might make a nice maneater with a properly ogre-ified head/left arm (again, is he smaller scale/shorter?)
Maneater with a slightly scrawny gut (? looks small & unsure about base size, looks like it might be < 40 mm)
Skaldi Bonehammer, Trollbloods
Gorgers
Dire Troll Mauler, Trollbloods
Earthborn Dire Troll, Trollbloods
Winter Troll, Trollbloods

Ic...hmm looking at the pictures for comparison, the regular smaller troopers are on 30 mm round bases, and in the same pic side by side the sumotoris look to be on a bigger base (looks like 40 mm round). If they occupy a 40 mm round space as they do in the pic, seems more or less bull-sized, so my conjecture is that they MIGHT fit in, just that they look a little weedy?
Trollbloods look good don't they Though you'd have to explain a 4 fingered mutation to the rest of your army.
Randroid14 May 2011
Could be interesting as a Gorger or ??? in an Araby themed Ogre army:
That would make a great model for a character with the Flying Carpet - it looks kind of like I imagined the Cloak of Dunes in the last Tomb King book; more magical transportation than a carpet but it would still look great.

As an Alternative Scrap Launcher may I suggest the:
Mage Knight Black Powder Rebel War Wagon
It comes already totally assembled (unlike some other Scraplaunchers we know) and painted (but not hugely well).
It also has a small dwarf chap on it, who could be made to look very gnoblar-like with a head swap. It just needs a firing arm/mechanism added to the platform at the back.
Size comparison is good too.

The beast above would also make an excellent Gorger with some work on the axe hand to leave it empty. EDIT: Just seen that the Troll Jarl has feet 60mm apart... might be a bit big for a Gorger without work.

I use the Wendigo Hunters as my Yhetees, and they are a bit small. However, as long as you put them on a 40mm base they should be ok. I tried to build up my bases to look like they are riding an avalanche, but it really didn't work that well...

The privateer Press Pyre Trolls are a little small to be ogres, but their fists are just the right size for making your own firebelly. The torso is the right height, but lacking a bit in girth. The main problem is that his legs are shrimpy.

I want to use this guy as my Gorger (Dark Eldar Clawed Fiend): Anyone know how it shapes up size-wise to the ordinary Gorger and when it will be available in Finecast? I really want it (perhaps a headswap and remove 4 nipples if it looks to odd).

It fits well on a 40mm base, and is a bit smaller than a normal Gorger. It's a really nice figure though, I bought one to use as a Fiend of Slaanesh.

Hello all!
Don't know whether the amazing Ogryn models from ForgeWorld have cropped up yet, but here's my two cents worth. This guy works with my fluff brilliantly, a Skaven/Ogre alliance of a sort, and is definitely going to be my Tyrant. Now, imagine if you will this monstrosity atop of this base: All painted up nicely, that will look incredible. I know that this won't appeal to everyone, seeing as you'll need to be playing a fairly specialist army to field this type of model, but the 'wow' factor is there...or at least in my mind. Opinions?
If by RAW, you mean "Reg06's Audacious Whims", then you'd be right.

Came across these guys the other day. I've been wanting to do boars instead of cats for my Sabertusks, these seem like an awesome alternative, depending on the size of them:
Just found these, made by DeeZee and available from North Star Games. 42mm tall.
They also do these
40mm base to shoulder and 90mm tail to horn, how do they compare to Rhinox models?

Maneater if ever I saw one or possible hunter:
Standard Bear - Like this guy but too much intelligence and calmness in the face - would swap that:
Only complaint I have with these are the faces look too human, makes them look like tall fattish humans rather than Ogres. face swaps ftw.
