Thought I would try something, see if I can get a ball rolling... Post here pictures and links of models which would be great for Ogre Kingdoms armies, to keep ideas all in the one place!

Here are a few I have come across:

Avatar of War [Alternative Bruiser/Tyrant]

Avatar of War [Alternative Sabertusk]

[EDIT] I purchased one of these, but they really don't fit in with ogres so I am now returning it to the seller.

Good idea!

This female Ogre has cropped up a few times here at the Stronghold as a Butcher/Slaughtermistress:

Rackham's Firebrand Ogre makes a good Empire themed Leadbelcher, Maneater or Tyrant if you can get hold of one:

http://shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?rt=nc&LH_PrefLoc=2&_nkw=Firebrand%20Ogre&_fln=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m283

I'm quite fond of the massive Otherworld Giant (he comes with different head options and his base isn't fixed to his feet so you can easily put him on a GW Giant base):

I reckon this Dire Bear would make a good 'counts-as' Gorger while still being quite fluffy:

http://www.allsortsemporium.net/Gaspez-Arts-Chaos-Ogre-Mutant

Has anyone used this model before? Looks like it'd make a good chaos maneater with/without a couple of conversions. Seems a little large though, my rough estimate based on the ruler puts the top of the head at about 4.5 cm, and it's bulkier looking than a normal ogre, making it slightly larger scale than the average bull.

The Sumotori models from Urban Mammoth look pretty good too, they're on 40 mm round bases. Anyone knows how well they stack up next to normal ogres? Can't tell for sure but they look like they're of slightly thinner build.

The Dragon Blade too for that matter, great model but looks quite bulky to be squeezing onto a 40 mm base (the feet already look like they exceed the 50 mm base slightly) anyone used it previously? Maybe you can post up a comparison once you get yours, scotty wazza :)
I looked at the Sumotoi guys an figured they were a little too small but forget if I did any real measuring or not.

As a sneak of something I've just started working on I'm going to be converting a Tyrant with this as the base model:

He will be roughly 30% bigger than the normal Tyrant model and will involve a fair bit of GS work.

Beat you to it; I did mine from this guy a few months ago and havn't looked back. Due to the size of his Iron Fists on a standard 40mm base I have to use 4 Gnoblars next to him (2 on each side) as they take up the same size as a regular Bull, which is what I count them as for enemy attacks; they also remind me if he has any sword Gnoblars/ Luck Gnoblar.

Edit: Posted mine below; he is a fearsome brute!

I was tempted to add the original tusks (from the elephant head) to his Gut plate, but figured he wouldn't be able to get into B2B with anyone if he stuck out of the base that much!

Thanks Komone  :) You mean you had a look at the actual sumotori models, and they looked smaller scale? They just give me the impression that they're slightly shorter/thinner than normal ogres. It's a pity if they won't fit in well with normal ogres, would look great for Nippon maneaters.

Sorry Randroid, forgot you already posted the Gaspez model on page 1  :( Hmm was thinking the Gaspez model would make a good chaos maneater with a left hand weapon swap/head swap, but Gorger's an idea  ;)

Great tyrant, nice work! Mean and huge. Pity about the ranking up though. Now if your opponents allowed him (out of sheer badassery) to tank more B2B hits in place of the "bull" that's supposed to occupy the rest of the space, that'd be great ;)

Hordes models-wise, Trollbloods don't look half bad too, if you overlook the fact that they're four-fingered/toed. Anyone who has ogres and trollbloods know how well they scale next to each other?

This looks like it might make a nice maneater with a properly ogre-ified head/left arm (again, is he smaller scale/shorter?)

Maneater with a slightly scrawny gut (? looks small & unsure about base size, looks like it might be < 40 mm)

Skaldi Bonehammer, Trollbloods

Gorgers

Dire Troll Mauler, Trollbloods

Earthborn Dire Troll, Trollbloods

Winter Troll, Trollbloods

Hey hues, not seen them in person but think it was using their base size for comparison or such. I've checked out Trollbloods lot and very tempted to get some....

Ic...hmm looking at the pictures for comparison, the regular smaller troopers are on 30 mm round bases, and in the same pic side by side the sumotoris look to be on a bigger base (looks like 40 mm round). If they occupy a 40 mm round space as they do in the pic, seems more or less bull-sized, so my conjecture is that they MIGHT fit in, just that they look a little weedy?

Trollbloods look good don't they  Though you'd have to explain a 4 fingered mutation to the rest of your army.
Could be interesting as a Gorger or ??? in an Araby themed Ogre army:

As an Alternative Scrap Launcher may I suggest the:

Mage Knight Black Powder Rebel War Wagon

It comes already totally assembled (unlike some other Scraplaunchers we know) and painted (but not hugely well).

It also has a small dwarf chap on it, who could be made to look very gnoblar-like with a head swap.
It just needs a firing arm/mechanism added to the platform at the back.

Size comparison is good too.

Hello all!

Don't know whether the amazing Ogryn models from ForgeWorld have cropped up yet, but here's my two cents worth.

This guy works with my fluff brilliantly, a Skaven/Ogre alliance of a sort, and is definitely going to be my Tyrant. Now, imagine if you will this monstrosity atop of this base:

All painted up nicely, that will look incredible. I know that this won't appeal to everyone, seeing as you'll need to be playing a fairly specialist army to field this type of model, but the 'wow' factor is there...or at least in my mind. Opinions?

Despite the weird and humpy back, it looks like it could be a viable alternative to Mournfang, if people prefer the Rhino look but don't want to shell out for the official (expensive) models of Rhinox Riders.

Their tears will be a perfect addition to the Butcher's cauldron.
How do the GW 40k Thunderwolf cavalry measure up against a Mournfang?
Minis from DGS Games. Pretty sure this is 32mm scale so this guy should be roughly Ogre sized?

Hey fellow Ogre players,

have we seen this model yet?

its from enigmaminiatures.com which states that it is a 30mm model. but it seems ment to be an Ogre.
does anyone have a size comparison?
That model is not Ogre sized from what I recall when I saw it. More in line with a big Chaos mini like Nurgle.

thanks Randroid, to0 bad though it would have made one hell of a butcher.
I could be wrong! Would love to see a comparison shot if anyone has the mini!

Enigma site says this:

"To the eyes: 38mm
Top of the head: 41mm"

It also comes with a 25mm base.

Lizardmaneater?

Few other ogres on ristuls but this one is the only one I'd get. Others are bit? Hobbit troll like?

Warlock one could be a death butcher perhaps. Although not a great sculpt tbh

And those that like Dota and Dota 2: Pudge Butcher

I think pudge with some GS to cover up all the wounds would make a great SM. An apron strap and more apron would cover up the wound from the left shoulder nicely and something similar on the other side.

Forgot to link him: http://cadwallon.com/pudge-dota-2.html

Also Gnoblar Mournfang counts as?

Scibor has done a version of his Kossack Ogres for 40K and also a 2nd wave of fantasy ones:

Boom Stick Hunter!

Wibbles McGee

This guy needs to not be on an angled base! Can imagine looking great as a Bruiser or such.

does anyone have some sugestions about what model to use for ghark ironskin's mount? would love to hear them...
I have the bits to do this myself but as yet its one of those 'projects on the shelf'. Previously seen Juggernauts used but I don't like them size wise.

Best fit I think it this:

http://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Chaos-Space-Marines-Maulerfiend

Remove the tenticles and maybe add some Chaos Dwarf Icons and pretty much aweseme.

i was also considering the molerfiend/forgefiend model, but is it possible to mount an ogre on that? i hevent seen the model in person....
Would take some converting to get a saddle on there or change it's body to accommodate such.

Scibor has a few more ogres - really pumping them out at the moment:

Maneater if ever I saw one or possible hunter:

Standard Bear - Like this guy but too much intelligence and calmness in the face - would swap that:

Only complaint I have with these are the faces look too human, makes them look like tall fattish humans rather than Ogres. face swaps ftw.

Dunno why but the 2ns guy annoys me..think its the face looking a little too human and the guy looking like some 54mm dwarf/ human than an ogre. I'll probably still get him mind ;)

Agree on the dwarf maneater vibe ;)

Lova Taytoopoo from a Bloodbowl tournament (Zlurpee Bowl 2009).
It comes with an extra arm, to replace the one with the ball&chain (for a clenched fist instead).

Some more BB Ogres
