beards ,axes and beer......why....it must be dwarfs

hi there seeing as im starting dwarfs soon (i am get them about friday-ish)and im sure on the points yet but unluckly i need to buy a codex as well (for some reason the kid im buying them off doesnt have the codex but instead a printout of the rules so im looking at about... £85 for aloud of dwarfs and code

so if you can refer me to any good articles please post them here
and any tactics to use ( other than sit in the corner and shoot  )

try bugmans brewery

hordes of GreatWeapon Warriors(30-40), and Quarrellers with GW's(around 20) seem to be very popular.
the general is typically either a dwarf lord on shieldbearers(tank) or a runepriest(to dispell).

the most common  lists you'll find are:
1 lord(GW, Shieldbearers)
1 RP(GW)
2x40 Warriors w/ GW's(one unit can be taken as Long Beards)
20 Quarreller w/ GW's(can be fielded as Rangers)
30-40 Hammerers
2 GrudgeThrowers
1 Organ Gun

(thunders can also be used in units of 10-12, and the WM's can be Runed up or swapped out for cannons and such, other then that this seems to be the basic structure)

update:i only just found out the buying of dwarfs has been delayed till i get the money together

There here in all there beardy goodness the rough amount of men( dwarfs) (some are missing)

20 thunderrers
13 quallers
4 slayer hero (don't know there proper name)
2 thanes/lords
36 warriors
16 miners
1 organ gun
2 cannons (missing 1 crew)

Like I said some men still need to be found

ok played 2 games today vs vampire counts and orcs and gobbos

vampire counts 2,000pts game i lost by a masacre

orcs and gobbos 1,000 we ran out of time i lost technicly he killed about 10 dwarfs all together
