Any Ogre who can have Big Names is allowed 125 points (For a Tyrant) or 75 points (For a Bruiser) worth of magic items, however, the extra 25 points can only be spent on Big Names. Any opinions?

Would be akin to vampiric powers and Chaos gifts and possibly something we will see in a new book perhaps. Doesn't seem over the top to me.

Seems fair.
i would change it to "Bruisers may choose a big name of up to 25 points. Tyrants may choose up to 2 big names worth up to 25 points total"

I think a Tyrant should have to take at least one big name as part of his points cost.
He is a Tyrant after all...

The so-called 'Great Migration' was in fact a retaliatory invasion of Cathay.

I agree with the needed attention to Big Names. In the army book the fluff reads that ogres can have so many names that a Gnoblar has to follow them around with a scroll to keep track of them.
So I use the house rule that...
Ogre characters are able to have the normal 100/50pts allowance, but they are able to spend it all on names if they like, not just a name and items.
