OGRE ARMY (finaly :P)

hi guys cheif B here and this time im atucally getting this army im going have ogres as an army this christmas im getting

battalion
tyrant
butcher
(and if all go's smoothly a few other things as well)
so guys out of this stuff what should i do with it (i.e conversion and stuff)
and good tactics for different units

Good stuff chief, I'd say have a good read through the Ogre book and see what sounds interesting, what sings to you, or what looks cool

My fluff for my army is still a swirling mess in my head but at the moment is along these lines:

Tyrant who has become obsessed with books, learning more (just looks at pictures at the moment), gathering more words to be cleverer and understand stuff.

Tribe that has struck upon a cache deep up in the mountains where the Sky Giants lived. They have found armor and weapons actually made for Ogres by the Sky Giants before they were toppled, or maby for small giants, or maybe that can be used by Ogres and still fit (like kneepads become gutplates). So I'm gathering ideas for old but ancient looking armour, not quite norse, or roman or highmen like but a combined look.

i think the feastmasters apeal to me ill probaly buy some halflings to represent gnoblars (use the gnoblars from the battalion as trappers mabye some conversion) get the hafling hot pot and make a gnoblar scraplauncher

or the iron skins sound cool

or ill make up my own tribe with fluff

yay i have a tribe name skabrand tribe who live in the mountains of skabrand
because legend has it (well my legend anyway ) says that sumpreme-tyrant skabrand wanted seperation from the other tyrants so he pushed some of the mountain of mourn over towards the river running to pig-barter he ask the eye-biter tribe for a favour, grandfather malron eye-biter sired a hundred ogres for his tribe but when he came to collect the favour in the form of gnoblar slave the sumpreme-tyrant refused so malron hired dark elf assains to kill the sumpreme-tyrant luckily the tyrant sleeps with his trusty neckalce made from wyrdstone itself and the dark elves were forced back in a tremendous blast and some of the mounntain collasped and rolled towards pig barter and formed the mountain flayed rock because of its broken shape he has a sister tribe called the flayed tribe it happened after a ogre revilution but thats for another legend

Nice, gives you more inspiration for when you model your guys. Sounds like the Tyrant is a little suspicious and paranoid after having assasins come after him and also going back on deals. He's not much of an honourable sort maybe and a little sneaky/ underhanded.

Could mean the gnoblar trappers are more ninja like and sneaky looking. So maybe some influence from Nippon on the Tyrant too.

Maybe as he's worried from attacks in his back he wears his armour backwards with more on his back than the front and has a gnoblar always looking behind him.

well im pretty sure that if you separted from the main clans id be bricking it too but on a serious note whats nippon i was wondering does the tyrant have armour on his back more than his front anyway if not ill have to use a bunch of beastmen sheilds because it said in the backround that they clobble armour together and it would be funnier if the gnoblar is aslept

Well in Warhammer there are the two China and Japanese equivalent places:

Cathay and Nippon. Cathay is chinese and Nippon Japanese.
