Saga of Korgoth the Learned, and the Homehunter Tribe
The saga of Tyrant Korgoth the Learned  begins in his tribe’s home, near the Kingdom of Tyrant Goldfag. Korgoth, had, in his own youth spent years as a Maneater, selling his sword in the lands of Man. Araby, the Empire, Brettonia. It was in the Empire that Korgoth was given the gift of written work, in the form of the Empire’s Riekspiel. Korgoth gained an affinity for the lands of the Empire. Its farmlands filled with grain and pasture full of cattle, the rivers swimming with fish and the forest filled with dainty and tender birds and gamey but juicy beastmen. After many years, Korgoth returned to his tribe, telling of the wonders of the Empire, and its food, boasting his skill with the written word. He challenged the tyrant of his tribe, and slew him in personal combat. Overtime, Korgoth taught his council of Butchers, the Mawspeakers, how to read and write, to better pass on the stories of their people. He became entranced by the head Slaughtermaster’s stories of the coming of the Maw. Korgoth was as pious as an Ogre could be. Having learned of the tale of Sigmar from the Men of the Empire, he knew of the great Comet, and concluded that Sigmar was, in fact, the true prophet of the Maw, and knew that the Empire was the promised land of the Ogres. However, he loved the humans for their cattle and farmed goods. Their breads and pastries had no translations in the tongue of the Ogres, but he did his best to teach his tribe that the humans had to be helped if these delicious foods where to be kept available to eat. He began to gather other smaller tribes under his banner, trying to prompt a migration into what he knew was the holy land. However, this caught the attention of the Overtryant Greasus Goldtooth. He would not allow this upstart Korgoth to gain power. Goldtooth’s armies where mighty, and though Goldtooth sent but the smallest fraction of his forces to “persuade” Korgoth from gathering more tribes, it was sufficient. The majority of the tribes aligned with Korgoth, as well a his own, where slain in one night, a massacre only Korgoth, his most loyal Butcher and greatest friend Ferran the Ravenous, Korgoth’s personal escort of Ironguts, and a few of the most skilled or lucky Bulls escaped. They fled north, past the Sky Castles, past the relms of Goldfag, and into the World Edge Mountains, on the Border with the Empire province of Ostermark. It is here that Korgoth gathers his forces  again. Thru his contacts in the trade convoys of the Empire and Araby, he calls to war all Ogres of like mind, to the Ogres who wish to live, breed, defend and, most importantly, eat in the promised land of Sigmar the Maw incarnate, and to destroy the other Kingdoms who would deny them their rightful place.
"You shouldn't have pick an army based on how you look." "Well, I started with Empire, but felt that Ogres fit me better."
